IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
CAUTION! The individual user should determine prior to use whether this device is suitable, adequate or safe for the use intended. Since individual applications are subject to great variation, the manufacturer makes no representation or warranty as to suitability or fitness of these devices for any specific application.
Setup and Mounting
Mount dock light arm first. Attach lamp head when arm installation is complete.
- Select a mounting location suitable to support the weight of the unit. Use 3/8” lag bolts with expansion anchors for securing to solid cinder block or cement structures. When mounting to a wood framed building structure, the unit must be bolted directly to a stud using 3/8” lag bolts.
- Use included template to drill appropriate sized holes for the fasteners/wall anchors. Select the correct hole-pattern for the model being installed. Recommended mounting height is 78 inches.
- When dock arm is securely fastened to the wall, attach the lamp head assembly to the end of the dock arm and plug into the receptacle located on the dock arm.
- Adjust the tension of the lamp arm by tightening the nut and bolt that holds the lamp arm to the swivel bracket.
Occasional adjustment may be necessary to maintain proper tension.
WARNING!
- Plug the unit into an electrical outlet compliant with the ratings as specified on the product label.
- All incandescent lamp heads require wire guards to remain UL compliant. Replace guards if damaged or missing.
- Using bulbs of a higher wattage than the fixture rating may cause overheating and fire. Follow these maximum wattage guidelines:
Plastic Lamp Heads:
150W Incandescent / 30W LED PAR38 or 50W High Pressure Sodium.
Metal Lamp Heads: 300W Incandescent PAR38. Use of LED or High Pressure Sodium bulbs not recommended.
Maintenance and Care
- Do not over-tighten adjustment screws.
- Clean and inspect regularly.
- Replace guards when damaged or missing.
- To install or replace lamp in Metal Head, depress plunger located on the rear of the unit. Once bulb is fully tightened, slowly release plunger. Bulb will retract into lamp head.
