Product Usage Instructions

i-Size Booster Seat Installation

1. Locate the ISOFIX anchorage points in the vehicle.
2. Extend the retractable locking arms on the booster seat.
3. Secure the booster seat by engaging the locking arms in the ISOFIX anchorage points.
4. Ensure both locking arms are correctly engaged and secured.

Universal Installation with 3-Point Seatbelt

1. Place the booster seat in the desired seating position in the vehicle.
2. Secure the booster seat using the vehicle’s 3-point seatbelt according to ECE R 16 standards or equivalent.
3. Adjust the seat belt to fit snugly and ensure the booster seat is stable.

WARNING: Always secure your child with the vehicle’s 3-point seatbelt.

Approved Methods

The Volvo booster seat is approved for two different methods of installation:

1. “i-Size booster seat” with locking arms in the vehicle’s ISOFIX anchorage points.
   This means: The child car seat can be installed using the retractable locking arms in the car’s ISOFIX anchorage points1.

   WARNING! Always secure your child with the vehicle’s 3-point seatbelt
   Please note: In some vehicles the headrest cannot be adjusted to its maximum height, which represents a child height of 150 cm. This may be the case, for example, if the child car seat’s headrest hits the vehicle’s C-pillar.

2. The ISOFIX anchor points lie deep within the upholstery of the seat, making installation more difficult. Ensure that both ISOFIX locking arms are correctly engaged.

3. Universal with the vehicle’s 3-point seatbelt
   This means: The child car seat is approved for installation using the tested 3-point seatbelt (in accordance with ECE R 16 or comparable standard) in all vehicles.

   • The child car seat is approved for installation, i.e. using the tested 3-point seatbelt. The child seat is approved in accordance with ECE R 129/03.
   • The child restraint system may only be installed in vehicles if the user manual for that vehicle states that installation of a “universal” child restraint system is permitted for that relevant age group.
   • If in doubt, please refer to the manufacturer or the retailer.
