Check and replace D-cell battery units
Important info
Check your batteries periodically to make sure they’re functioning properly.
Batteries have a limited lifespan, even if they aren’t in use. Older batteries
may not provide a full 24 hours of backup. You should always have a new set of
batteries available..
During a power outage, you may have to replace the batteries more than once to
maintain working service. When you replace the batteries, replace all
batteries at the same time with the same type and brand. You should never mix
old and new batteries or use rechargeable batteries. This can damage the
device.
FYI: Backup battery won’t power a cordless phone. It will only power a corded phone.
