SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND REGULATORY INFORMATION
Safety instructions for handling when used with a riflescope on a

firearm

  • Check the legal and regional regulations in your country before using the ZEISS DTC 3 with a riflescope.
  • If the ZEISS DTC 3 is connected to an optical device used on a firearm, always ensure that the firearm is unloaded when mounting the ZEISS DTC 3.
  • Before using, ensure that your riflescope and the ZEISS DTC 3 are in proper working condition.
  • Test the correct setting of the point of impact using controlled shots.
  • Improper or inaccurate mounting of the ZEISS DTC 3 on the riflescope may result in a shift in the point of impact, which may affect accuracy.
  • An incorrectly adjusted ZEISS DTC 3 may result in a considerable deviation of the point of impact.
Safety instructions for handling
  • Look through your riflescope to test if the optics provide a clear, undisturbed image.
  • If handled roughly, a maladjustment cannot be ruled out.
  • Never point the lens of the device directly at intense heat sources such as the sun or laser equipment. The objective lens and eyepiece can function as a burning glass and damage the interior components.
  • Protection class IP65 / IP67 is only achieved when all rubber covers are firmly closed.
Danger of swallowing
  • Do not place this device in the hands of small children. Incorrect handling can cause small parts to come loose which may be swallowed.
Safety instructions for battery
  • Handle the device with care: rough handling can damage the internal battery.
  • Do not expose the device to fire or high temperatures above 60°C.
  • Do not disassemble the device to access the battery. The battery is not meant to be replaced by the end user.
  • Only charge the device at temperatures ranging between 10°C and 40°C.
  • The battery capacity decreases when operated in a cold ambient temperature. This is not a fault and occurs for technical reasons.
  • Do not store the device for long periods at temperatures below 0°C or above 35°C. This permanently reduces the capacity of the battery.
Safety instructions for the power supply unit
  • Check your power supply unit (not included in delivery package) and cable for visible damage before use.
  • Do not use defective parts and observe the safety instructions for your power supply unit.
  • The power supply must meet the requirements for limited power sources according to IEC 62368-1.
