EMTEK 95034US19 4 Inch x 4 Inch Steel Plated Spring Hinge
CAUTION:
- DO NOT EXCEED THREE(3)HOLES TENSION FOR 180 DOOR OPENING, OR FOUR(4)HOLES TENSION FOR 90 OPENING.
- ALWAYS ROTATE THE KEX WRENCH CLOCKWISE REGARDLESS OF RIGHT OR HAND DOOR APPLICATION.
INSTRUCTION
- HINGE INSTALLATION: INSTALL THE HINGE IN A NORMAL MANNER WITH THE ADJUSTMENT END OF THE HINGE UP. AS SHOWN ABOVE.
- ADJUSTING SPRING TORQUE:
- ADJUST TORQUE ONLY AFTER TO HINGE IN INSTALLED AND WITH THE DOOR CLOSED.
- ROTATE THE ADJUSTMENT CAPSTAN TO CLOCKWISE BY A HEX WRENCH TO ADJUST THE PROPER SPRING TENSION AND INSERT THE TENSION PIN INTO THE TENSION HOLE WITH A TENSIONING HEX WRENCH AS SHOWN IN THE FIGURE. C) REMOVE HEX WRENCH. AND TRY DOOR FOR CLOSING. TO ACHIEVE PROPER CLOSING FORCE, CHANGE ADJUST
- REMOVE THE HEX WRENCH, AND TRY THE DOOR FOR CLOSING. TO ACHIEVE PROPER: CLOSING PORCE. CHANGE ADJU- STMENT FROM ONE HOLE TO THE NEXT IN EITHER DIRECTION BY HEX WRENCH AS THE TENSION PIN IS REMOVED AND RESET.
MAXIMUM DOOR SIZE RECOMMENDED
3′ – 0 WIDE X 7′-0 HIGH
NOTES:
- Wind conditions, excessive air pressure on one side of an opening, and weather stripping. or other adverse job conditions may require the use of all spring hinges.
- For maximum versatility, use all spring hinges.
