Selecting the Right Cables

  • To determine which cables to use, first identify your laptop’s ports using the pictures below or reference your laptop’s user guide.
  • If your laptop has two Thunderbolt3/4 / USB-C with DP ports, the simplest way to use the monitor is with the two provided USB-C cables.
  • If your laptop does not have any Thunderbolt3/4 / USB-C with DP ports, you will need to use one USB-A to USB-C cable and one HDMI to Mini-HDMI cable for each screen.
  • If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, then you can use any other video output ports shown below with an HDMI adapter (not provided).

Protective Caps
If your laptop is an ultra-thin style (laptop screen thickness 6mm), using the protective caps helps to reduce shaking.

CONNECTIVITY

Two USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 Ports
If there are 2 full function USB-C or 2 Thunderbolt 3/4 ports on the laptop, use the 2 included USB-C cables to connect the laptop to the monitor screens.

Notes:

  • Ensure the USB-C port of your laptop is a full function USB-C port (supports both video & data transmission).
  • Ensure 5V/2A or above power can be supported through the USB-C port. An external power supply of 5V/2A or above is needed for normal use (adjust brightness above 50).

Full Function USB-C and HDMI Port Connection
If there is one full function USB-C port and one HDMI port on the laptop:

  1. Use the provided USB-C cable to connect one side of the monitor and the laptop.
  2. Meanwhile, use the HDMI cable and an extra power supply (USB-C to USB-A cable) to connect the other side of the monitor and the laptop.

Note:
The HDMI port does not provide power, so the monitor must be plugged into a power supply (5V/2A or above).

Other Connection Type (Extra Adapter Needed)
If you lack enough HDMI ports for connection, find a suitable HDMI hub for your laptop. You need to use 4 cables with an extra hub for connection:

  1. First, connect one side of your monitor to the laptop with an HDMI and a USB-C to USB-A cord.
  2. Second, connect the HDMI hub to your laptop.
  3. Finally, connect the other side of your monitor with another HDMI and USB-C to USB-A cable.

Note:
The HDMI port does not provide power, so the monitor must be plugged into a power supply (5V/2A or above).
