Note:
A microphone is not provided with this soundbar. To use the karaoke functions, separately purchase the microphone recommended by Kogan.com.
OPERATION
Range of the Remote Control
- When the soundbar is mounted on a wall, point the remote control at the remote control sensor on the bellowed panel. The provided remote control allows the soundbar to be operated from a distance.
- Even if the remote control is operated within the effective range (8m), remote control operation may be impossible if there are any obstacles between the soundbar and the remote control.
- If the remote control is operated near other devices which generate infrared rays or if other remote control devices using infrared rays are used near the soundbar, it may operate incorrectly. Conversely, the other devices may operate incorrectly.
Breathing Led Light Colour Selection
- Connect the soundbar to an electrical outlet. The soundbar will be in standby mode and –‘ will be appear on the display.
- Press the Power button on the soundbar or the remote control to power on the soundbar.
- Press the Input button on the soundbar or the remote control to select an input source. The LED lighting on both sides of soundbar will illuminate.
- Press the Setup button and turn LED mode on LED will illuminate on the soundbar.
- After switching to LED mode, press + or – within 5 seconds to select a different effect. LED mode can only be toggled with the remote control.

Karaoke Vocal Cancel Setting
- Connect the soundbar to an electrical outlet. The soundbar will be in standby mode and –‘ will be appear on the display.
- Press the Power button on the soundbar or the remote control to power on the soundbar.
- Press the Input button on the soundbar or the remote control to select an input source.
- Press the Setup button and turn Vocal Cancel mode on. illuminate on the display.
- After switching to Vocal Cancel mode, press + or – within 5 seconds to toggle Vocal Cancel mode on/off. Vocal Cancel mode can be toggled only with the remote control.
Pair the Soundbar with Rear Speakers and Subwoofer
- Connect the soundbar to an electrical outlet. The soundbar will be in standby mode and –‘ will be appear on the display. The indicators on the rear speakers and subwoofer will slowly flash blue, indicating that they are not paired with the soundbar.
- Press the Power button on the soundbar or the remote control to power on the soundbar.
- Press the Input button on the soundbar or the remote control and select AUX Input.
- Press and hold the Pair button on the remote control SUB PAIR will illuminate on the display. Meanwhile, press and hold the Pair button on the rear speaker and on the subwoofer until their indicators are rapidly flashing blue. They are now in pairing mode.
- After about 20-30 seconds, the indicators on the rear speaker and the subwoofer will stop flashing and remain solid blue, confirming a successful pairing with the soundbar.
- The soundbar, rear speakers and subwoofer will now be paired automatically when they are switched off and on again.
Note:
For successful pairing, ensure the soundbar, rear speakers and subwoofer are on and within the connection range. Any other devices in pairing mode should be switched off placed in standby
Positioning the Soundbar
Place on a flat surface:
Place the soundbar horizontally on a flat surface such as a shelf and align it
centrally with TV screen. Allow some space between the speaker and the wall.
Don’t place the soundbar inside a cabinet or a walled shelf. Follow this
guidance for best sound output and good airflow around the soundbar.
Mount on the wall:
WARNING: If you are not confident in correctly and securely wall mounting the soundbar, consult a licensed professional.
Install the speaker on a vertical, reinforced area of wall. For plaster walls,
it is recommended to screw into wall anchors for greater security. For optimum
performance, allow at least 25mm distance between the soundbar and the TV.

Drill 2 holes in the wall the same distance apart as the wall bracket on the soundbar.

Place the wall anchors into the holes and secure with the screws. Do not tighten the screws all the way; ensure some space is remaining.

Once the screws are securely fastened, hang the soundbar by inserting the screws into the wall bracket.
Mount the Speakers

Drill 2 holes on the wall the same distance apart as the two rear speakers.

Place the wall anchors into the holes and secure with the screws. Do not tighten the screws all the way; ensure some space is remaining.

Once the screws are securely fastened, hang the rear speakers by inserting the screw into the wall bracket on each rear speaker.
Using the Soundbar
- Before connecting the power cord, ensure you have completed all other connections.
- Ensure the electrical outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the back or underside of the soundbar to prevent damage.
- Connect the power cord to the AC IN port and then into an electrical outlet.
Basic Operation
- Press the Power button on either the remote control or the soundbar to turn on the soundbar.
- Switch on the connected device (such as TV, playback device, game console etc).
- Press the Input button on either the remote control or the soundbar to select your desired input source.

Note:
Ensure the connected device matches the selected Input source illuminated on the display.
Power On/Off
- Plug one end of the power cord into the AC IN port on the soundbar and the other end into an electrical outlet (see the following diagram). The soundbar will be in standby mode, and ‘–‘ will illuminate on the display.
- Turn the soundbar on by pressing the Power button on soundbar or the remote control. The default input mode will automatically appear on the display.
- Press and hold the Power button on the soundbar or the remote control for 2 seconds to switch it off. Then, if you want to switch the soundbar off completely, disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet.
Auto Standby
- The soundbar will automatically go into standby mode when there is no user input for 20 minutes.
- To switch the soundbar off completely, remove the power plug from the electrical outlet. Turn the soundbar off completely to save power when not in use.
- The display will turn off after 20 seconds of no user input. The display will wake up again when you press the Power button on the soundbar or remote control or when increasing or decreasing the volume from a connected device.
Select Modes
- Press the button on the soundbar repeatedly or press the Input button on the remote control to select the Bluetooth, AUX, OPTICAL, HDMI eARC or USB mode. The selected mode will show on the display.
- Below are the Input mode names that appear on the display: – Bluetooth Pairing mode, – AUX mode, – Optical mode, – TV HDMI ARC mode, -TV HDMI eARC mode, -USB mode.
- The HDMI eARC port supports video and audio:
- Audio: maximum supported audio content is Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD, Dolby Surround.
- HDMI: HDMI version 2.1.
- In HDMI eARC input source, if the soundbar is not connected to your TV, ARC will display on the soundbar. If the soundbar is connected to your TV HDMI ARC connector, ARC will display on the soundbar. If the soundbar is connected to your TV HDMI eARC connector, EARC will display on the soundbar.
Playing Audio via BT Connection
Through Bluetooth, connect the soundbar with your Bluetooth device (such as an iPad, iPhone, Android phone or laptop) to listen to the audio files on the device through your soundbar.
Requirements:
- A Bluetooth device which supports Bluetooth profile A2DP, AVRCP and with Bluetooth version 5.0.
- The maximum operational range between the soundbar and a Bluetooth device is approximately 8 meters.
Connect a Bluetooth device:
- Turn on the soundbar and press the button repeatedly on the soundbar or the Input button on the remote control to switch to Bluetooth mode. will flash on the display and the soundbar will be in pairing mode.
- On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select KASBD712AJA from the list of devices to start connection (see the Bluetooth device on how to enable Bluetooth). If prompted for a password, enter 0000 .
- Wait until you hear the voice prompt from the soundbar. If successfully connected, will stop flashing and appear solid on the display.
- Select and play audio files or music on your Bluetooth device.
Using the Bluetooth device with the soundbar:
- If you receive a phone call while playing music from a Bluetooth device, the music will pause and resume when the call ends.
- If your Bluetooth device supports AVRCP profile, you can press on the remote control to skip to a track.
- Press and hold the Setup button for more than 2 seconds to restore factory default settings.
- Press and hold the Pair button on the remote control for more than 2 seconds to disconnect the paired Bluetooth device or reconnect the last disconnected Bluetooth device.
- Use the volume buttons on the soundbar or on the remote control to adjust the volume to your requirements.
- To exit Bluetooth, select another input source. When your switch back to Bluetooth mode, the Bluetooth connection remains active.
- Press the Volume +/- buttons to adjust the volume to your desired level.
Notes:
- Having connection problems? Remove KASBD712AJA from your device’s Bluetooth history and ensure it’s less than 8 meters away, Then try pairing again. To get the best sound quality, ensure there is a clear line of sight between the connected device and your soundbar.
- If your paired or connected device is switched off or manually disconnects, the soundbar will automatically enter pairing mode.
- The music streaming may be interrupted by obstacles between the device and soundbar, such as a wall, metallic casing that covers the device or other devices nearby that operate in the same frequency.
- If you want to connect your soundbar with another Bluetooth device, press and hold Pair on the remote control to disconnect the currently connected Bluetooth device.
Playing Audio via USB
The soundbar automatically switches to USB Input mode with the LED displaying when a USB flash drive is inserted (this mode isn’t selectable on the soundbar or remote control unless a USB flash drive is connected).
- Ensure that your USB flash drive contains MP3, FLAC, or ALAC audio files (other file types are not supported).
- Connect the USB flash drive to the USB port on the soundbar (or your own USB extension cable connected to the USB port). Audio will automatically play, and the display will illuminate with the playing time.
- Press the Volume +/ buttons to adjust the volume to your desired level.
CONNECTIVITY
Playing Audio via Audio Input (Aux) Connection
- Use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable to connect a PC, tablet, smartphone, or TV headphone port to the AUX port on the soundbar.
- Use an RCA to 3.5mm audio cable to connect a BlueRay DVD Player or TV audio output port to the AUX port on the soundbar.
- Press the button on the soundbar or the INPUT button on the remote control to switch to audio Input mode. The display will illuminate .
- In this mode, playback can only be controlled on your connected device.
Optical Mode
- Connect one end of an Optical cable (not provided) to the OPTICAL port on the soundbar (Optical digital Input). Then, connect the other end to the OPTICAL OUT port on the TV or other device. The TV or other device must have an Optical digital output.
- Set the TV to PCM Stereo or Stereo 2.0.
- Start playing on the TV.
- Press the Input button on the soundbar or remote control to activate OPTICAL mode. When successfully connected, the LED display will show .
- Operate your audio device directly for playback features.
- Press the Volume +/ buttons to adjust the volume to your desired level.
HDMI eARC Mode
e-ARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel)
This soundbar supports HDMI with enhanced Audio Return Channel (e-ARC). If your TV is HDMI e-ARC compliant, you can hear the TV audio through your soundbar using an HDMI cable (not provided).
- Connect one end of a high-speed HDMI cable to the HDMI eARC port on the soundbar, and the other end to the HDMI (e ARC) port on your TV.
- Press the button on the soundbar or Input button on the remote control to switch to HDMI eARC mode. When successfully connected, the display will show . If the TV supports HDMI ARC, the display will show ARC.
- Press the Volume +/ buttons to adjust the volume to your desired level.
- If you wish, you can change the audio settings by using the relevant buttons on the remote control.
Notes :
- Some 4K HDR TVs require the HDMI input or picture settings to be set for HDR content reception. For further setup details on HDR display, please refer to the user guide of your TV.
- Your TV must support the HDMI-CEC and e-ARC function. HDMI-CEC and e-ARC must be set to be on.
- The setting method of HDMI-CEC and e-ARC may differ depending on the TV. For details about e-ARC function, please refer to your TV user guide.
- Only HDMI 1.4 compatible cables support the e-ARC function.
- The enhance Audio Return Channel function enables an HDMI compatible TV to send the audio stream to the HDMI OUT of the soundbar.

The sound is distorted or echoed.| TV volume is not muted.| If you play audio
from a TV through the soundbar, make sure that the TV is muted.
The volume decreases when the soundbar is turned on.| The automatic volume

There is no sound coming from the soundbar (Optical Mode)| The optical cable might be damaged, or no signal is received by the soundbar due to a failed connection and incorrect operation mode selected.|
- Replace the optical cable with a new one to connect.
- Set your TV audio output to PCM format (or refer to your TV user guide).
There is no sound coming from the soundbar (USB mode).| The USB file type is
not supported.| Ensure that the USB flash drive contains MP3 files because

- While entering Dolby Atmos/Dolby Digital Plus format, the soundbar will show DOLBY ATMOS/DOLBY SURROUND.
- Set the audio output sampling rate to 192 kHz if you can adjust it. This soundbar supports 4K Pass through and DOLBY VISION. When you play a disc which supports 4K video signal, the signal can be delivered to your TV.
Note:
- The full Dolby Atmos experience is only available when the Soundbar is connected to the source using a HDMI 2.0 cable.
- The soundbar will still function when connected via other methods (such as a Digital Optical cable), but these are unable to support all the Dolby features. Given this, the recommendation is to connect via HDMI, to ensure full Dolby support.
