Products Covered By This Installation Guide

  • This guide is for use when installing MiniClip Modules into 50mm and 100mm furniture mount trims.
  • If any of the MiniClip Modules you are using have a separate Installation Guide then be sure to refer to this as well.
  • The 50mm trim can accommodate 2x25mm modules or 1x50mm modules.
  • The 100mm trim can accommodate 4x25mm modules, 2 25 mm modules 1x50mm modules or 2 x 50mm modules.

Important Safety Instructions

  • Read these instructions carefully before attempting any installation. Follow all instructions and heed all warnings. These instructions should be kept for future reference.
  • This equipment is designed for indoor use only.
  • This equipment is designed to be fitted into furniture or case goods.
  • Clean only with a dry cloth.
  • Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the equipment has been damaged in any way, for example, if any power supply plug or cord is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the equipment, the equipment has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally or has been dropped or damaged.
  • Unplug this equipment during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
  • Do NOT install or use this equipment near water.
  • Do NOT expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
  • Do NOT expose to dripping or splashing. No objects filled with liquid such as vases shall be placed on the equipment.
  • Do NOT install near any heat sources such as radiators, convection heaters or other apparatus such as amplifiers that produce heat.

Preparation For Installation

  • Before starting installation make sure you have read and understood the “Important Safety instructions”.
  • You will need tools to make a cutout and pilot/bolt holes in the furniture or case goods and also a screwdriver to fix the trim.

Installation

  • Step 1 Prepare the cutout for the appropriate trim as shown below.teleadapt-TA-337x-Mini-Clip-Module-FIG-1
  • Step 2 Fix the carrier in position over the cutout using either bolts through the two pre-drilled holes fastening with nuts and washers at the rear. Alternatively, fix using wood screws into the prepared pilot holes.
  • Step 3 Feed any cabling required from the rear through the cutout hole and carrier allowing sufficient slack to attach to the modules.
  • Step 4 Plug cabling into each module and carefully clip each module into position. When fitting the last module ensure previously fitted modules are properly located left or right so a sufficient gap is available.
  • Step 5 Clip the trim onto the carrier ensuring the two small cutouts are on the bottom (these are used to remove the trim if required).
    • Installation is now complete

Additional Information

Removing the modules

If you need to remove any modules then proceed as below.

  1. Step 1 Carefully lever off the trim by inserting a small flat-bladed screwdriver into the cutout clots on the bottom of the trim.
  2. Step 2 Unscrew the carrier and gently pull it forward so you can access the clips that secure the modules in the carrier.
  3. Step 3 Gently use the flat-bladed screwdriver to release the required module clips from the rear of the carrier allowing the modules to be removed.
  4. Step 4 Unplug and remove any cabling.
