Preparation For Installation
Extender Trims are designed to be installed in furniture on a flat, vertical
surface.
This Installation Guide must be read in conjunction with the PowerHub/PowerHub
Mini and MediaHub/ MiniClip Installation Guides. These guides include
Important Safety Instructions which must be followed.
Ensure the location chosen for the equipment complies with the requirements of
the “Important Safety Instructions” in the PowerHub/PowerHub
Mini/MediaHub/MiniClip Installation Guides.
A cutout will need to be made in the furniture. After the cutout is prepared
the only tools you will need are a medium sized cross head screwdriver.
At least two standard 3-pin US 120V outlets will be required. Some
combinations of MiniClip Modules may require additional outlets.

TIP : You can use the mounting plate as a template.
NOTE: The trim has notches for removal that need to face downward so they
are unseen once the trim is installed. For this reason the mounting plate is
NOT REVERSIBLE. Make sure the PowerHub is on the LEFT and the MediaHub or
MiniClip is on the RIGHT.
The cutout diagrams below are scaled and NOT THE ACTUAL SIZE so should NOT be
used directly as templates.

Assembly
The two configurations shown below are examples only. Choose from PowerHub USB-C, PowerHub E or PowerHub Mini paired with MediaHub UHD or your selection of MiniClip Modules (2 x 25mm or 1 x 50mm).
Installation
The following instructions apply to all extender trims. Depending on the trim, PowerHub is used here to refer to PowerHub or PowerHub Mini, and media module refers to either MediaHub or MiniClip Module(s) mounted in the supplied carrier.
-
Step 1 Transfer the dimensions from the appropriate cutout above or use the mounting plate itself to trace the cutout size onto the surface of the furniture.
NOTE : The trim has notches for removal that need to face downward so they are unseen. For this reason the mounting plate is NOT REVERSIBLE. Make sure the PowerHub is on the LEFT and the MediaHub or MiniClip is on the RIGHT. -
Step 2 Make the cutouts and screw pilot holes in the furniture.
-
Step 3 Assemble the media module by clipping the MediaHub or MiniClip modules into the carrier.
NOTE : MediaHub versions of the extender trim are not provided with a carrier, so use the carrier provided with the MediaHub. MiniClip versions of the extender trim come with a carrier. -
Step4 Insert the PowerHub and media module into the mounting plate (make sure the PowerHub is on the left and media module on the right.
-
Step 5 Pass the cables required for the media module through the opening in the material (from rear to front) and connect to the rear of the media module. Refer to the appropriate installation guide for the module you are installing.
-
Step 6 Pass the power cable for the PowerHub through the opening in the material. Ensure cable length is adequate to reach a power outlet. For some models an Ethernet cable will also need to be passed through the opening and connected to the back of the PowerHub. Refer to the appropriate installation guide for the PowerHub you are installing.
-
Step 7 With the PowerHub and media module installed into the mounting plate, push the entire assembly into the cutout holes in the furniture.
-
Step 8 Fasten the PowerHub and the MediaHub to the furniture using the screws provided (the 4 larger screws are used for the PowerHub, the two smaller screws for the MediaHub/MiniClip Module).
-
Step 9 After the assembly is fully fastened, the plastic trim snaps on. If trim removal is required, insert a flat head screwdriver into the notches on the bottom of the trim and to pry it off.
