SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Carefully and fully read the instruction manual prior to using the appliance and carefully store the manual for future reference.

  • Only use this appliance for the purposes described in the instruction manual.

  • The exterior becomes hot!

  • Never fill the appliance above the maximum indication.
    The appliance could overflow.

  • Only connect the appliance to alternate current, to an earthed wall socket, with a mains voltage that corresponds with the information provided on the information plate of the appliance.

  • Never bend the power cord sharply or allow it to run across hot parts.

  • Fully unwind the cord to prevent it from overheating.

  • Never place the appliance near appliances that give off heat, such as ovens, gas cookers, hotplates, etc. Keep the appliance away from walls or other objects that could catch flame, such as curtains, towels (cotton or paper, etc.).

  • Always make sure the appliance is placed on an even, flat surface and is only used indoors.

  • Do not leave the appliance unsupervised if the appliance is operational.

  • If you want to move the appliance, make sure it has cooled down and that the plug has been removed from the socket.

  • Do not use the appliance when the plug, cord or appliance have been damaged, when the appliance is no longer functioning satisfactorily, or has been dropped or damaged in any other way. If this is the case, consult the shop or our technical service. Never replace the plug or cord yourself. Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed by skilled persons. Incorrect repairs could cause considerable hazards for the user. Never use the appliance with parts that are not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer.

  • Do not pull the cord and/or appliance to remove the plug from the wall socket. Never touch the appliance with wet or moist hands.

  • Keep the appliance out of reach of children. Children do not see the dangers when handling electrical appliances. Therefore, never allow children to work with electrical appliances without supervision. Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years of age.

  • The appliance can be used by children of 8 years and older and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience or knowledge, provided they use the appliance under supervision or have been instructed about its save use and understand the hazards it may involve.

  • Children are not allowed to play with the appliance.

  • The appliance may not be cleaned or maintained by children, unless this is done under supervision.

  • If the appliance is not being used or is being cleaned, remove the plug from the socket.

  • If you decide not to use the appliance any more due to a defect, we recommend cutting off the cord after removing the plug from the wall socket.

  • If the appliance does not function after it has been switched on, it is possible that the fuse or earth leakage circuit breaker has been activated in the electrical distribution box. The group can be overloaded or an earth leakage current may have occurred.

  • In case of a breakdown, never make repairs yourself; a blown safety device in the appliance could indicate a defect that cannot be remedied by removing or replacing this safety device. Only original parts should ever be used.

  • Never rinse the appliance under the tap.

  • Never submerge the power base, appliance, cord or plug in water.

  • ATTENTION: If the milk is not or not completly poured, the milk frother will automatically restart when it has cooled down below 500C.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

PRIOR TO FIRST USE

Before using the appliance for the first time, please proceed as follows: carefully remove the milk frother from its packaging and remove all the packaging material. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and cardboard) out of the reach of children. After unpacking the appliance, check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport. Place the milk frother on a heat- resistant flat surface.
Clean the cover, attachment and spring with warm water and a mild washing-up liquid. Dry these components thoroughly. Only clean the base unit and interior with a moist cloth and dry thoroughly. The milk frother is only suitable for frothing and heating milk. Never fill the milk frother with other liquids.
HEATING MILK
Check that the voltage corresponds with what is stated on the information plate. Insert the plug in the socket. Place the attachment (without spring) at the bottom of the milk jug onto the drive shaft. Fill the milk frother with the required amount of milk. Take note of the upper maximum indication for only heating milk – MAX – 300 ml.
Place the cover and place the milk frother on the power base. Switch the ON/OFF button to I. The indicator LED will light up and the milk frother will start working.
Depending on the amount of milk, the milk frother stops automatically after approximately 90 seconds. The indicator LED will swicth off and the milk frother is ready.
When the milk frother is ready, remove the cover and pour the hot milk in a mug or cup.
After use, the milk frother should be cleaned as described in chapter CLEANING & MAINTENANCE.
If the milk is not or not completly poured, the milk frother will automatically restart when it has cooled down below 500C.
After use switch the ON/OFF button to 0 and remove the plug from the wall socket

FROTHING MILK

Check that the voltage corresponds with what is stated on the information plate. Insert the plug in the socket.
Place the attachment (with spring) at the bottom of the milk jug onto the drive shaft. Fill the milk frother with the required amount of milk. Take note of the lower maximum indication for frothing milk – MAX – 185 ml. Frothing milk expands and the milk frother could overflow when using too much milk. The minimum capacity is 75 ml.
Making hot milk froth Place the cover and place the milk frother on the power base. Switch the ON/OFF button to I. The indicator LED will light up and the milk frother will start working. Depending on the amount of milk, the milk frother stops automatically after approximately 90 seconds. The indicator LED will swicth off and the milk frother is ready. When the milk frother is ready, remove the cover and pour the milk froth in a mug or cup. Do not use a spoon or other metal object to scoop out the milk froth. This will damage the coating.
After use, the milk frother should be cleaned as described in chapter CLEANING & MAINTENANCE.
If the milk is not or not completly poured, the milk frother will automatically restart when it has cooled down below 50C.
After use switch the ON/OFF button to 0 and remove the plug from the wall socket.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
If there isn’t sufficient milk in the milk frother, it will shut OFF automatically. Nevertheless, always ensure that there is enough
milk in the product, as switching the device OFF automatically can shorten its life span.
Allow the product to cool down before filling it again.
TIPS

  • You will get the best milk froth result with full-cream milk.
  • If there is too little milk in the milk frother (less than 75 ml), the result will be less good.
  • The quality of the milk froth can differ significantly between different brands of milk. Experiment with other brands, if necessary, for a better result.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the milk frother to cool prior to cleaning.
Clean the milk frother after each use.
Never submerge the milk frother and power base in water and/or any other liquid. Also do not rinse it under the tap.
Regularly wipe the outside with a moist cloth.
Remove the whisk or mixer from the milk frother by lifting it straight upwards. Pour some hot water in the milk frother to remove all milk residues. If necessary, use a drop of washing-up liquid to remove the fatty film left by the milk. Then wipe clean the inside of the milk frother with a soft cloth or some kitchen paper to prevent the coating from getting damaged. Make sure there are no more milk residues in the milk frother. This is unhygienic and could be harmful to your health. Clean the cover, silicone ring of the cover, whisk and mixer with warm water and a mild washing-up liquid. Dry these components thoroughly.
Never use detergents and/or abrasives or sharp objects that could damage the coating!

This symbol means that this product should not be disposed of with regular household waste (2012/19/EU).
Observe the applicable rules in your country for the separate collection of electric and electronic products.
By disposing of the product correctly, you prevent negative consequences for the environment and for public health.
The packaging material of this product can be recycled 100%, return packaging material separately.
