Branding transition for Frontline Care products: Connex Spot Monitor, SureTemp Probe Cover packaging, and general-use packaging

Dear valued customer,
Baxter has an ongoing initiative to rebrand a broad portion of the Frontline Care product (FLC) portfolio which predominantly involves the transition from the Hillrom, Welch Allyn, and other brands to the Baxter brand. This customer letter is to communicate upcoming product brand changes for the Connex Spot Monitor, APM mobile stand, SureTemp Probe Cover packaging, and general-use packaging (“blue boxes”). The dates indicated on the following pages are best estimates and are contingent on product demand and associated inventory use-up between now and the time of introduction. Additional communications will be forthcoming as introduction schedules are finalized for other FLC products.

The following will not change because of the product brand changes:

• The legal manufacturer will continue to be Welch Allyn, Inc (a subsidiary of Baxter International, Inc)
• All business transactions (i.e. purchase orders, invoicing, etc) will continue to be transacted with Welch Allyn, Inc.
• There are no changes to product numbers or related GTIN (Global Trade Identification Number)

Connex Spot Monitor and APM mobile stand: May 2024 Initial changes

• CSM product labeling (items 1 and 2 in image below and device labels on the back of the unit)
• CSM packaging
• APM Mobile stand packaging and literature

Future Updates

• Baxter Splash screen (likely 2025): Update to the user interface start-up screen (item 3 in image below)
• Instructions for use (IFU) will see rebranding changes in late 2024 (both the online version and CD)

2. Font change for product name per new brand standard Elimination of ® per Baxter trademark guidelines
3. User interface start up screen logo and background color change

Note : No change to 3rd party brand/labeling (i.e. Masimo)

SureTemp Probe Cover packaging – production start date: late May – early June, 2024
All levels of packaging are modified to include the Baxter logo, brand color, brand standard fonts and compliance with Baxter patent and trademark standards

1000x case box (similar design for 5000x, 7500x and 10000x case boxes)

General use “blue box” packaging: April 2024 through YE 2024 or later
There are 28 different sizes of “blue boxes” each having a variable amount of inventory and demand. We will use up inventory for each of the sizes which results in a range of dates of introduction per box size of Baxter branded versions from April 2024 through YE 2024 or later.

1. Logo change to top and side panels.
2. Color change to green which is associated with the Intelligent Diagnostics product category in the new Baxter brand standard.
