LIN FX-08R Standing Fan

We recommend that you take the time to read this user manual to learn how to properly use and operate the device.

IMPORTANT SAFETY AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. This equipment may be used by children aged at least 8 years and by persons with reduced physical and mental abilities and persons with a lack of experience and knowledge of the equipment, provided that supervision or instruction regarding the use of the equipment in a safe manner is provided so that with this the risks were understandable. Children should not play with the equipment. Children should not clean or maintain the equipment without supervision.
2. To avoid danger, replace a damaged power cord or device with the manufacturer, an authorized service center, or a suitably qualified person.
3. Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
4. The device is intended for home use only. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or inconsistent use.
5. Do not use it outdoors or on damp surfaces.
6. Do not pull or carry the device by the cord. do not use the cord as a handle. do not press the cable against the door. do not pull the cord around sharp edges and corners. keep the cord away from hot surfaces.
7. The device should be stored in a cool, dry place.
8. Do not use it in damp places such as bathrooms. If liquid gets into the device, turn it off and have it checked by an authorized equipment service center.
9. When disconnecting the device from the power source, do not pull the cable. Grab the plug with your hand and unplug the device.
10. Do not unplug the device with wet hands.
11. Keep the device and its cable out of the reach of children.
12. Never start the device unless it is completely assembled.
13. Watch out for protruding pieces of clothing and long hair, as they may become entangled in moving parts of the device.
14. The device may only be connected to a power source with the voltage and frequency specified on the nameplate.
15. Never use the device with a damaged propeller blade.
16. Before removing the cover, make sure the fan is turned off.
17. Always unplug the fan before adjusting or moving it from one place to another, when not in use, or when cleaning the fan.
18. Make sure the fan is placed on an even, flat, stable, and dry surface when operating to avoid tipping over. do not use the fan on an uneven surface.
19. Maintain a safe distance of at least 50 cm from the device to other objects.
20. Do not place the fan or any part of it near open flames, radiators, cooking or other heating appliances, or other heat-producing products. keep the fan away from flammable objects.
21. Do not use the device near flammable gases or aerosols, etc. Fire hazard!
22. Never put fingers, pencils, or other objects through the grille when the fan is running or unplugged. do not insert any foreign objects into the grill or openings of the device. risk of injury (electric shock) and damage to the device!

ATTENTION!

• DO NOT PLACE ANY OBJECTS ON THE DEVICE OR INSERT THEM INTO THE DEVICE WHILE THE FAN IS OPERATING.
• The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper use or use other than that intended.

BEFORE INSTALLING THE FAN ELEMENTS, THE DEVICE SHOULD ALWAYS BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAIN POWER SOURCE.

Description Overview

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. PREPARE ALL ITEMS
2. AFTER REMOVING THE SCREW, ATTACH THE COLUMN TO THE BASE AND SCREW
3. TIGHTEN THE MOUNTING SCREW WITH A SCREWDRIVER
4. CONNECT THE COLUMN ELEMENTS ACCORDING TO THE DRAWING
5. TIGHTEN THE COLUMN STABILIZING SCREWS
6. READY DEVICE

INSTALLATION AND FIRST START-UP

CONNECT THE DEVICE TO THE POWER SUPPLY ONLY AFTER THE FAN IS COMPLETELY ASSEMBLED.

1. Place the fan on a stable, flat, dry surface.
2. Check if the fan is turned off.
3. Insert the fan plug into an appropriate AC power outlet

Remote control

• ON/OFF: turns the device on and off
• Speed: setting the fan speed, 3 speed settings can be selected (F1/F2/F3).
• Mode: setting the fan operating modes. The fan is equipped with 3 modes:
  • “Natural Wind”, “Gentle Breeze” “Ordinary Wind”.
• Timer: setting the operating time of the device. While the fan is operating, press the button and select the desired operating range – from 01 to 12 hours. The function will be disabled after setting “00”
• Swing: setting that allows you to activate the rotation of the fan head. Do not change the head setting manually as this may cause permanent damage
• Screen-off: control panel backlight, turns off after 3 minutes without any operation
• Aroma: aromatherapy function, the ability to saturate the material not only with essential and fragrance oils but also, for example, with a liquid to repel insects.
• Note: to saturate the material, follow the instructions below – the fan must be turned off at this point.

PROBLEMS AND THEIR SOLUTIONS

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

ATTENTION!
BEFORE CLEANING, SWITCH OFF THE APPLIANCE AND REMOVE THE FAN PLUG FROM THE SOCKET. NEVER CLEAN THIS DEVICE WHILE IT IS CONNECTED!

1. Clean your device regularly.
2. Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, plug, or any part of the fan in water or other liquid, or pour water or other liquid onto the fan.
3. Be careful not to let water or other liquid get into the motor housing. Risk of shock!
4. If you want to clean the device from dust, use a dry and soft cloth.
5. The ventilation slots on the back of the motor housing should be kept dust-free.
6. Do not use detergents, scouring powders, or polishes on any part of the device as they may damage the surface finish of the fan.
7. When you are not using the device, protect the fan against excessive dust and dirt.

WARRANTY AND SERVICE

Hereby, LIN POLSKA Sp. z o. o. declares that the LIN FX-08R device is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 2014/30/EU.

Marking the equipment with the symbol of a crossed-out waste container informs about the prohibition of placing used electrical and electronic equipment together with other waste. Transferring waste electrical and electronic equipment to collection points contributes to the reuse, recycling, or recovery of equipment and the protection of the natural environment. Hazardous components contained in electronic equipment may cause long-term adverse changes in the natural environment, as well as be harmful to health.

Guarantee

1. The distributor of this product guarantees the proper operation of the product for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, but no longer than 24 months from the date of production. The warranty covers only products with a correctly completed warranty card (sales point stamp) and proof of purchase. Repairs during the warranty period will be performed free of charge. If repair is impossible, the product will be replaced with a new one free from defects. The Distributor allows for the replacement of the device with another similar model (with the same parameters or better) if the equipment in question is no longer available on the market. In the event of replacement, the warranty period runs from the original date of purchase of the device.
2. A warranty card without the store’s stamp, sale date, and seller’s signature is invalid! In the absence of a valid warranty card, any defects may be repaired by the distributor only at the buyer’s expense.
3. The warranty covers any material and manufacturing defects that make it impossible to use the product or cause it to malfunction.
4. The warranty holder is obliged to deliver the complete device in the original packaging (including all accessories: chargers, holders, cables, memory cards, and software license cards along with discs) to the distributor’s office at his own expense, along with a valid warranty card, proof of purchase and a detailed description of the occurring fault.
5. The warranty does not cover mechanical damage or damage resulting from using the device inconsistently with the operating instructions or for purposes other than those specified in the device description.
6. The warranty does not cover materials and consumables that wear out during normal use for more than 6 months from the date of purchase (e.g. batteries, accumulators, holders, filters, etc.)
7. The warranty does not cover devices in which the security seal has been removed.
8. The service center will repair the device within 14 days from the date of receipt of the device. The deadline may be extended to 30 days if it is necessary to import spare parts from the manufacturer.
9. In the event of an unjustified complaint (no defect reported or it is classified as not covered by the warranty), the customer shall bear the costs of the expert opinion in the amount of PLN 50 net and shipping costs.
10. This warranty for the goods sold does not exclude, limit or suspend the buyer’s rights arising from Article 13 point 4 of the Act on the terms of consumer sales and amendments to the Civil Code (Journal of Laws of 2002, No. 141, item 1176).
11. The territorial scope of warranty protection is the territory of the Republic of Poland.
