  • Before installation, ensure that the threads on the locking cleat are aligned with the threads on the adapter body. Refer to the provided diagram for reference.

Step 3: Lubricate the face seal on the docking collar.

  • Lubricate the face seal on the docking collar using the provided lubricant. The body and tip O-rings will be installed later in the process. Install the adapter until it bottoms out, then back it out less than 180 degrees to expose an NPT port for the Schrader valve. Take note of the orientation for future steps and remove the adapter.

Step 4: Install the 1/8 hex plug in the unused port.

  • Lubricate the 1/8 hex plug and install it in the unused port to seal it off.

Step 5: Install tip and body O-ring seals.

  • Install the tip and body O-ring seals and lubricate them with engine oil. Make sure the face seal is in place before proceeding.

Step 6 : Rotate the adapter until fully bottomed out.

  • Using a 1 deep socket, rotate the adapter until it is fully bottomed out. Then, back it out to the previously determined orientation.

Step 7 : Lock the adapter in place.

  • Using a 5/32 hex wrench, tighten the socket head cap screw to lock the adapter securely in place.

Step 8: Install the Schrader valve.

  • Lubricate the threads on the Schrader valve and install it into the provided NPT port. If needed, you can use the optional 90-degree fitting for better access or clearance. Use a 15/16 12-point closed-end wrench to install the fitting if necessary.

Step 9: Install the oil filter

  • Install the oil filter with 22 X 1.5 threads, such as WIX 57502, Purolator PSL22500, MOBIL1 M1-212, or an equivalent filter. Before installation, make sure to lubricate the oil filter gasket.

Servicing Instructions at Oil Change

  1. Remove the oil filler cap.
  2. Apply a minimum of 30 PSI to the Schrader valve for at least three seconds. This will evacuate the oil retained in the oil filter and cooler.
  3. Remove the oil filter and replace it.
