MOVO WMX-7-RX Wireless Receiver
Introduction
Thanks for choosing Movo!
The Movo WMX-7 is a 12-Channel VHF wireless microphone system designed to work
with smartphones, tablets, DSLRs, audio recorders, PCs, and more.
Lightweight and easy to use, the RX receiver offers flexibility without
sacrificing high-quality audio. It can receive signals at a range of up to 164
feet away without obstacles.

- To monitor the receiver output, plug your headphones into this port.
NOTE
Do not connect headphones with a monaural mini jack.
This may lead to short-circuiting Of the headphone output, resulting in distorted sound output.

Setup Guide
Install antenna
Screw antenna clockwise into jack until secure.
NOTE
- Do not touch the antenna while recording.
Install batteries
The receiver is powered by two AA batteries.
- Push the two catches in the direction Of the arrows and open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two batteries in the correct polarity as shown.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
NOTE
- When the low power indicator appears, change the batteries immediately.
- When not using the receiver for a long period of time, remove the batteries to avoid leakage.
Screw the shoe mount adapter onto receiver
Pair the transmitter and receiver
Using the microphone with smartphones, tablets, or computers
Receiver
- Mount the receiver to your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
- Using a TRRS cable, insert the locked plug into the receiver’s “LINE OUT” jack.
- Plug the other connector into the audio jack of your smartphone.
- Plug your earphones into the ” ” port to monitor sound.
- Slide the power switch to the ON position (the LED indicator will light up blue)
NOTE
For help distinguishing between TRS and TRRS cables, refer to the “What’s the
difference?”.
Transmitter and receiver pairing
Please follow the steps below:
- Press the channel selector button on the transmitter. The LED screen will display the channel (CH) number.
- The receiver will connect with the transmitter automatically.
- Change channels until you could get very clear feedback.
How to connect the transmitter and receiver
If you lose or damage the transmitter or receiver, or need to reconnect them,
please follow the steps below:
- Turn the power switch of the transmitter to the ON position.
- Press and hold the channel selector button on the transmitter until the screen flashes.
- Turn the power switch on the receiver to the ON position.
- Wait for about 3-5 seconds until the receiver light turns Off.
- press the channel selector button on the transmitter.
If the LED indicators Of the transmitter and receiver stay blue, the system
has been connected.
If not, try 1-5 steps again.
Using the microphone with DSLR cameras, audio recorders, and other recording devices
Receiver
- Mount the receiver to your camera, audio recorder, or other audio/video recording devices.
- With the TRS cable, insert the other end of the connecting cable into the receiver u LINE OUT” jack.
- Plug the 3.5mm connector into the audio jack of your camera.
- Plug your earphones into the ” ” port to monitor sound.
- Slide the power switch to the ON position (the LED indicator will light up blue).
NOTE
For help distinguishing between TRS and TRRS cables, refer to the “What’s the
difference?”.
