INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing the Count & Win Sports Center™! Cheer on your little sports star with the Count & Win Sports Center™. Kick the soccer ball into the net to hear fun sounds, toss the basketball into the hoop to score points, and press three shape buttons to learn about shapes, color and more.

Parent’s guide

WARNING
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.

NOTE
Please keep this parent’s guide as it contains important information.

CAUTION:

Adult assembly required.
This package contains small parts. For your child’s safety, do not let your child play with the toy until it is fully assembled.

NOTE
If the balls become soft, inflate them with a standard, hand-operated air pump with a standard air needle (not included) until firm. Do not over-inflate the balls.

GETTING STARTED

Battery Removal and Installation

  1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
  2. Find the battery cover located on the back of the scoreboard and use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and open the battery cover.
  3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
  4. Install 3 new AA (LR6/AM-3) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box.
  5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

BATTERY NOTICE

  • Use new alkaline batteries for maximum performance.
  • Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended.
  • Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbonzinc) or rechargeable, or new and used batteries.
  • Do not use damaged batteries.
  • Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and – ).
  • Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
  • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
  • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging (if removable).
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.

Please securely stick the labels to the play set as indicated below:

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

With the Count & Win Sports CenterTM, safety comes first. Adult assembly required. For your child’s safety, do not let them play with this toy until it is fully assembled.

  1. Insert the Goalie into the Top Support Piece at a slight angle. Press down on the opposite side. You will hear the pieces snap together when connected properly.   FIG 8 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
  2. Insert the two Support Legs into the Top Support Piece. You will hear the pieces snap together when connected properly.                                          FIG 9 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  4. Insert the Soccer Net into the Top Support Piece. Next, slide the Soccer Net into the two Base Pieces. You will hear the pieces snap together when connected properly.  FIG 11 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
  5. Insert the small screws and use a screwdriver to secure the Soccer Net to the Top Support Piece and the two Base Pieces.                                             FIG 12 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
  6. Insert the Scoreboard into the top of the Soccer Net. Press and turn the big screw clockwise to secure the Scoreboard.                                      FIG 13 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
  7. Insert the Basketball Net into the Scoreboard. You will hear the pieces snap together when connected properly.                                                           FIG 14 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
  8. Insert the Trophy and two Spinning Gears into the slots in the two Support Legs. You will hear the pieces snap together when connected properly.

Once you’ve completed the above steps, you are ready to play!

PRODUCT FEATURES

  1. On/Off/Volume Selector
    To turn the unit On, slide the On/Off/Volume Selector to the Low volume or the High volume position. You will hear a song, a phrase and fun sounds. To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off/Volume Selector to the Off position.

  2. Height Adjustable Scoreboard
    The animated LED Scoreboard can be adjusted to two different heights. Press and turn the lock counterclockwise and slide the scoreboard up or down. Press and turn the lock clockwise to secure.

  3. Automatic Shut-Off
    To preserve battery life, the Count & Win Sports Center™ will automatically power down after approximately 30 seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button. The hoop sensor will not turn the unit back on.

NOTE
If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please install a new set of batteries.

ACTIVITIES

CAUTION

Do not aim the soccer ball or basketball at eyes or face.

  1. Shape Button Learning
    Press the Shape Buttons to learn about shapes, colors and hear fun sports phrases. The Scoreboard will light up and play a variety of playful animations.  FIG 16 Shape Button Learning

  2. Basketball Hoop Counting
    Toss the Basketball into the Basketball Hoop to hear the points count from 1 to 10. After the net has counted to 10, it will play music notes before going back to counting. The Scoreboard will light up and play a variety of playful animations.            FIG 17 Basketball Hoop Counting NOTE
    The infrared light sensor in the Basketball Hoop is sensitive to sunlight. The sensor may not perform properly in brightly lit, sunny rooms or under direct sunlight.

  3. Slam Dunk Basketball
    Slam dunk the Basketball into the Basketball Hoop to hear fun cheering sounds and phrases. The Scoreboard will light up and play a variety of playful animations.  FIG 18 Slam Dunk Basketball

  4. Soccer Net and Goalie
    Kick the Soccer Ball into the Soccer Net and hear a variety of playful sounds when you connect with the Goalie. The screen will light up and play a variety of playful animations.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
  3. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
  4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

  1. Please turn the unit Off.
  2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
  3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
  4. Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to play again.
  5. If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
