Intended use
The Nedis KAIC100FWT is an ice cube maker that can make 9 ice cubes per 8 minutes. The product is intended for indoor use only. The product is not intended for professional use. This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision. The product is intended for use in household environments for typical housekeeping functions that may also be used by non-expert users for typical housekeeping functions, such as: shops, offices other similar working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments and/or in bed and breakfast type environments. Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

- Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this document before you install or use the product. Keep the packaging and this document for future reference.
- Only use the product as described in this document.
- This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision. · Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children, animals or infirm persons. Do not allow children to play with it or touch it.
- Keep the product out of reach from children. · Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
- If the product is immersed in water, do not touch the product or the water.
- Shut off the main power grid and carefully remove the plug from the power outlet.
- After the product has been immersed or covered in water or other liquids, do not use the product again.
- Keep the product away from heat sources. Do not place the product on hot surfaces or near open flames.
- Do not use the product near explosive or flammable materials.
- Do not spray the product with chemicals, acids, gasoline or oil.
- Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
- Do not insert any objects into the product.
- Do not cover ventilation openings.
- Before cleaning or moving, switch off the product and disconnect the power.
- Do not pull the power cable to move the product.
- Unplug the product from the power outlet and other equipment if problems occur.
- Switch off the main power supply before unplugging the power cable.
- Do not use the product when the cable or plug is damaged.
- Make sure that the electrical supply in your area matches a voltage of 220 240 VAC and a frequency of 50 Hz.
- Plug into a grounded outlet only.
- Fully extend the power cable and make sure the power cable does not contact the product.
- Do not use external timers or remote control systems to switch the product on or off.
- Do not unplug the product by pulling on the cable. Always grasp the plug and pull.
- Ensure people do not trip over the cable.
- Make sure that the power cable cannot become entangled and does not hang over the edge of a worktop.
- Do not leave the product unattended when switched on.
- R600a is a refrigerant gas that complies with the European directives on the environment.
- Be aware that refrigerants can be odorless.
- Place the product in an area without any continuous sources of ignition (for example: open flames, gas or electrical appliances in operation).
- Only store the product in a well-ventilated area.
- When the product is installed, operated or stored in a non-ventilated area, make sure the room is designed to prevent the accumulation of refrigerant leaks resulting in a risk of fire or explosion due to ignition of the refrigerant caused by electric heaters, stoves, or other sources of ignition.
- Only persons with a current valid certificate from an industry accredited assessment authority, which authorizes their competence to handle refrigerants safely in accordance with an industry recognized assessment specification, can work on or break into a refrigerant circuit.
- Servicing can only be performed as recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Maintenance and repair requiring the assistance of other skilled personnel can only be carried out under the supervision of the person competent in the use of flammable refrigerants.
- When defrosting and cleaning the product, do not use any means other than those recommended by the manufacturing company.
- This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
Before first use
- Remove all packaging.
- Clean the inside and outside of the product with a cloth with a mixture of water and vinegar.
- Rinse the ice basket At with clean water.
- Leave the lid A2 open for at least two hours to dry naturally.
Using the product
Keep the product away from heat sources. Do not place the
product on hot surfaces or near open flames.
Keep the air outlet Ar at least 15 cm away from the wall. – Keep the product
at a distance from flammable objects such as
furniture, curtains and similar.
Only move the product in an upright position.
Change the water in the water reservoir A5 at least once a day. The produced
ice in the first three cycles can be smaller and irregular.
1. Place the product on a stable and flat surface.
2. Open the lid A2, and take out At.
3. Fill the water reservoir A5 up to the MAX’ indicator A6 with clean water. Distilled water is not allowed. Mineral water is recommended. 4 Open the bottom drain plug to release excess water, if the water exceeds the
MAX’
indicator.
4. Plug the power cable Ae into a power outlet.
5. Press the power button Aw to switch on the product.
6. Replace At and close A2. The Ice making’ indicator Aq lights up. The ice cube maker is now making ice cubes. Created ice cubes are deposited in At. When At is full. The
Ice full’ indicator A8 flashes.
7. Take out the ice immediately, do not let the ice overflow At. The `Add
water’ indicator A9 light turns red when A5 is empty. Press Aw to restart the
product after emptying At and refilling A5.
Cleaning the product
Unplug the product before cleaning.
Before cleaning and maintenance, switch off the product and disconnect the
power.
Do not use aggressive or flammable chemical cleaning agents
such as ammonia, acid, acetone, benzene or spirit when cleaning the product.
Avoid abrasives that can damage the surface. – Do not spray the product with
chemicals, acids, gasoline or oil.
Clean the product regularly as follows:
1. Press Aw to switch off the product.
2. Unplug Ae.
3. Empty A45t.
4. Clean the inside and outside of the product with a cloth with a mixture of
water and vinegar.
5. Rinse At with clean water.
Clean the product before storing the product for a long period of time.
Only store the product in a well-ventilated area.
