1. Features

This advanced fridge combines the latest compressor and computerized digital control system technology. The high-efficiency compressor will freeze to -18°C at 30°C ambient temperature.

3. Safety Instructions

  • Keep the fridge upright while it is turned on and in use.
  • Never switch the fridge on with wet hands or when your feet are in contact with water.
  • Always ensure that the correct voltage and current are applied to the fridge. The voltage and current are clearly marked on the manufacturer’s label which can be found underneath the fridge.
  • Ensure the power source can safely supply the required current when you use the AC/DC adapter.
  • Do not carry corrosives or solvent material in your fridge.
  • Never obstruct vents as they supply the necessary airflow to the motor and fan.
  • Do not fill the cooler with liquid or ice.

4. Application

Evakool Koolmate - Application

The fridge is ideal to use on camping trips. If you wish to refrigerate medicines, first check the cooling capacity meets the recommendation listed on the medication.

5. Installation

  • Please make sure that no parts are missing after unpacking the fridge.
  • Place the fridge on a dry flat surface.
  • The fridge should not be used where it may be exposed to rain.
  • The fridge should be installed in a position that allows adequate ventilation.
  • Do not locate the fridge anywhere the room temperature is below 0°C or above 32°C.

6. Operating Instructions

The fridge can be operated with 12V/24V DC. Prior to connection, check whether the voltage indicated on the manufacturer’s label is in accordance with the battery voltage. Connect your fridge to the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle with the 12V/24V DC.

Note: The fridge can be operated between 10 .3V and 17 .5V DC or 22V and 26V DC. If the voltage is out of range, the fridge will not work. Overvoltage could cause damage to the electronic components of the fridge.

Operation from the main power

When using the fridge indoors from the mains, please use the AC/DC adapter (optional item).

7. Temperature Settings

  • Press the power switch to switch the fridge on or off.
  • Press the up’ button ordown’ button to adjust the temperature.
  • Press the `up’ button once to adjust the temperature by +1°C.
  • Press the `down’ button once to adjust the temperature by -1°C.
  • The maximum cool setting is -19C.

Attention: Only qualified technicians may modify the fridge with the approval of the manufacturer.

8. Tips for Energy Saving

  • Place the fridge in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Always cool the food or drink before storing them in the fridge.
  • Do not set the temperature colder than you require.
  • Do not open the fridge more than necessary.
  • Do not leave the lid open longer than necessary.

9. Storage

When storing your fridge it is recommended to leave the lid slightly open. This will prevent mold from forming and will keep stale odors out of your fridge. It is also recommended to follow our cleaning procedures prior to storing your cooler.

10. Cleaning

Your fridge does not need to be cleaned before initial use.
1. Clean your fridge with a soft cloth moistened with lukewarm water.
2 . Pay attention that no water drops into the vents, as this may lead to damage to the electronic components.
3 . Us a soft dry cloth to completely dry the fridge after cleaning.
4 . Clean the fridge after use and before storage.
Attention : Never use solvents or abrasive cleaners, as this will damage the fridge. Do not use scourers or scrapers to clean your fridge.

14. Warranty Statement/Terms & Conditions

Newberg Pty Ltd trading as EvaKool undertakes to the original purchaser that this product is sold free of defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of 24 months. Subject to the following:

  • The warranty period commences from the date of purchase by the original purchaser from an authorized EvaKool dealer.
  • The Secop compressor in this unit carries a 5-year warranty under normal use.
  • EvaKool will honor this warranty on the presentation of proof of purchase of the unit to EvaKool or its approved service agent. The service agent may be requested to provide EvaKool with a photocopy of the proof prior to the warranty being honored.
  • EvaKool will not be held responsible for any costs incurred in making a warranty claim.
  • Please telephone 1300 865 665 for the name of an authorized service agent or refer to the list provided on the website. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to freight the unit to and from the service agent.
  • EvaKool will not be held responsible for any damage or loss suffered or cost incurred whilst the fridge is in transit.
  • Warranty repairs may only be carried out by an authorized service agent. EvaKool will not reimburse repair claims carried out by unauthorized service agents. Any unauthorized tampering with any part of the unit will automatically void the warranty.
  • Service agents may charge a fee for viewing or testing the unit. This is not covered by EvaKool or this warranty and is payable at the service point unless authorized by EvaKool.
  • Any EvaKool authorized service center in Australia will be able to carry out the service of your unit. If a repair needs to be undertaken and is covered in terms of this warranty a warranty authorization number must be obtained prior to commencement of any work.
  • This warranty does not extend to any products acquired for the purposes of re-supply, to be used up or transformed in a production or manufacture process, or in repairing other goods.
  • This fridge is intended for recreational use only. If used for commercial use, a 12-month warranty applies.
  • To the extent permitted by law, this warranty does not extend to any claim for damages that you or any other person may have for any loss (including without limitation consequential damages or loss of profit) or damage howsoever caused.
  • EvaKool will not accept a warranty claim if
    1. Modifications have been carried out to the unit without EvaKool’s written authority.
    2. Damage to or failure of the unit has been caused in EvaKool’s opinion by incorrect, extreme, or unreasonable use.
    3. Damage to or failure of the unit has been caused in EvaKool’s opinion by misuse, neglect, accident, impact, or similar cause. Refer to the preventative maintenance guidelines.
  • EvaKool has total discretion in the variation of the warranty terms.
  • Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the good repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
  • The above warranty conditions are in addition to any other rights and/or remedies as per the applicable law.
  • Failure to follow the guidelines/recommendations in this manual may void the warranty.
  • This warranty cannot be varied by others.

Please retain your receipt or proof of purchase for warranty purposes.
