LED status indicator

Android / iOS app
Before using the Safeguard HD, download the free ¡Security+’ app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Camera setup

Note: Do not manually rotate the camera upward, downward, toward the left or the right. This may damage the camera.

  1. Plug the AC adaptor into the power port (7) on the base of the Safeguard 360 HD, and plug the UK plug into the mains.

  2. Within two minutes, the Safeguard 360 HD will rotateand the LED indicator (2) will start blinking green and orange alternately. This indicates that the camera has initialised and is now in Connection mode.

  3. Go to the Wi-Fi settings of your smartphone or tablet and select the network “S-GUARD360HDXXXX” (the X’s represent the last 4 figures of the MAC ID at the back of your camera).

  4. Once connected to the camera, launch the iSecurity+ app.
    Your Safeguard 360 HD will be detected automatically and you will be asked if you would like to set it up as a new camera. Select ‘Yes’ to proceed.

  5. On the next prompt, select ‘Continue’ to begin setup (Figure 1).

  6. You will be shown a preview of your camera, select ‘Connect camera to internet’ (Figure 2) to proceed.

  7. Select the Wi-Fi network you wish to connect your camera to (Figure 3).

  8. If protected, enter the Wi-Fi password and select ‘Continue’ (Figure 4).

  9. Create an iSecurity+ account by completing the required fields and selecting ‘Continue’ (Figure 5) or if you have an existing iSecurity+ account select ‘Use existing’ (Figure 5) and enter your login details.

  10. Create the camera profile by entering a camera name and description (Figure 6), select ‘Continue’ to proceed.

Pair the camera to an alternative device/account

  1. To connect a different smartphone, press the reset button (5) at the back of the camera once.
  2. The LED indicator (2) at the front of the camera blinks in green and orange alternately. You may now start the process again from the “Camera Setup” section of this manual.

Note: If you have pressed the reset button (5) at the back of the camera in error and you do not wish to restart the setup process, press the reset button (5) again to cancel the process.

Viewing a camera

  1. Launch the iSecurity+ application.
  2. Select the ‘Mine’ tab and choose a camera from the online list, a live feed will be displayed.

Take a picture: Select the ‘Photo’ icon to take a snapshot of the camera view, the photo will automatically be saved into your phone storage.
Record a video: Select the ‘Video’ icon to record the camera view,the video will automatically be saved into your phone storage.
Speak/listen through the camera: To start a conversation through the camera, enable the sound by selecting the Sound’ icon and hold the ‘Talk’ icon while talking Zoom in / zoom out / rotate: You can zoom in/out by pinching the screen. Press twice on the screen to reset the zoom.
You can rotate the camera by sliding on the screen. The camera can rotate in four directions (up, down, right, left). Note: If the camera appears to stop rotating this means it has reached the end of its rotation and can’t go any further; do not continue swiping as this may break the rotation motors.

Friends’ cameras

Sharing:

  1. On the app dashboard, select the ‘Mine’ tab.
  2. Click on the ‘Camera settings’ icon next to the camera you want to share (Figure 8).
  3. Select ‘Invite friends’ and send an invitation to a friend you wish to share your camera with (Figure 8).
  4. Send the invitation to your friends’ email address and they can then link the camera to their account.

Viewing:

  1. On the app dashboard, select the ‘Friends’ tab.
  2. All online cameras will be displayed in the ‘Online’ list, select a camera to view a live video feed.
    Note: You will not be able to alter the settings of a friend’s camera or use the Zoom in / zoom out / rotate functions.

Changing the camera settings

  1. On the app dashboard, select the ‘Mine’ tab.
  2. Press on the Camera settings’ icon next to the camera you wish to alter.
  3. Once you have changed the settings, select ‘Done’ to save and exit.

Movement notifications
With the ‘iSecurity+ snapshots’ or ‘iSecurity+ video’ subscription service you can choose to activate movement notifications that will alert your smart device and / or email address with a notification. The ‘¡Security+ snapshots’ will display a series of photos and the ‘iSecurity+ video’ will display a live video feed with audio during the period of detected movement.

To activate:

  1. Open the ‘Mine’ tab.
  2. Select the settings icon on the camera you wish to activate.
  3. Change the ‘Phone notification’ or ‘Email notification’ slider to the ‘On’ position.

Viewing events
With a subscription to iSecurity+ snapshots, you will be able to view all recent captured events through your account.

  1. On the dashboard, select the ‘Events’ (Figure 9) tab.
  2. Select a camera (Figure 9).
  3. Select an event and press play to view a set of photos (using Security+ snapshots) or a video & audio recording (iSecurity+ video) (Figure 10).

Keeping your camera up-to-date
When an update is available a ‘download’ icon will appear next to your Safeguard camera, select the icon and follow the steps to update your camera (Figure 11).

Using a computer to access your camera
You can also view, manage and operate your Safeguard 360 HD through an internet browser on a PC or Mac. Follow the link below to access your camera from a computer: https://app.isecurityplus.com/app/c/login.html

Installation

  1. Remove the mounting bracket from the base of the Safeguard 360 HD.
  2. Fasten the base to the wall with the screws and anchorsincluded in the box.
  3. Reattach the camera to the mounting bracket.

Care for your Safeguard

Please DON’T:

  • Get the Safeguard wet
  • Drop the Safeguard as this will invalidate your warranty
  • Open up the Safeguard as there are no user serviceable parts inside
  • Expose the Safeguard to extreme temperatures or rapid changes of hot to cold or vice versa

Please DO:

  • Clean the Safeguard with a soft dry cloth and no detergents

Safety instructions

  • Do not point the camera directly at the sun to prevent damaging the image sensor
  • Keep the camera away from heat
  • Keep the camera away from rain or moisture
  • Do not attempt to open, dismantle, repair, or service the camera. Doing so may cause electric shocks and other hazards
  • Any evidence of misuse, abuse, or tampering will void the Warranty
  • To maintain compliance with FCC’s RF exposure guidelines, this equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body. Use only the supplied antenna

Warnings
To prevent fire or shock hazards, do not expose this product to moisture.
Apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no object filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus. To avoid electrical shock, do not open the cabinet.
