INSTALLATION GUIDE
You’veboughtyourrefrigeratorandyou’rereadytoinstallitinyourcar,caravanorcampertrailer.Please
takethetimetoreadthefollowinginformationtoensureyourrefrigeratorwillrunatitspeake
ciency andguaranteeyou’llgetalonglifeoutofyourfridge.
1.Unpackyournewrefrigeratorandmakesureallthepartsarethere,andthatthereisnodamagetothe
cabinet.
2.Makesurethesurfaceyourattachingyourmountingbrackettoislevelandsolid.
3.Correctair
owandventilation;thisisprobablythemostimportantpartoftheinstallation.Pleaseread
theCrossFlowVentilationsectionofthisguidecarefully.
*Important!:Thecompressorandcondensingcoilinyourfridge,issimilartotheradiatorandmotorin
yourcar.Theradiatorneedscoolairpassingacrossittoremovetheheat,tostopyourengineoverheating
andeventuallyfailing.Thesamegoesforarefrigerator;ifcoolairisn’tsuppliedtothecondensingcoil,
therefrigeratorwillstopperformingandseriousdamagecanbedonetothecompressor.
4.Makesuretheunitiseasyaccessibleandeasytoremove,incaseofawarrantyrepair;theunitneedsto
beuninstalledanddeliveredtoEvakoolorarecommendedserviceagentaspartofthewarranty
requirements.
5.Electricalwiringandinstallationshouldcomplytothepropernationalregulations.Seetableinthe
manual(section3,page4)oncorrectsizingofcable.Werecommendthatallwiringbeinstalledbya
licensed installer.
6.Installingthefridgeontothebracket,seemanual(section6,page8).
7.Installingthedrainhose(siliconehoselocatedonthebackofthefridge).Yourrefrigeratorwillproduce
moistureinsidethecabinetandthiswillneedtobedrainedaway. ·Drillaholethroughthe
oorbehindthefridge. ·Installthesiliconehosethroughthehole.
·Sealholewithsiliconetopreventdust,waterandpeskycrittersenteringyourcar,trailerorvan.
8.Connectthepowertoyoufridgeandawayyougo.Jobdone.
CROSS FLOW VENTILATION
Cross owventilationensuresthatthereissu
cientfreshairenteringthespacewhereyourrefrigeratoris
operatingandthatthestalehotairisextractedfromthearea.Freshairissuppliedtothespace,through
openingsorvents,preferablyfromtheoutsidetoreducetheriskofthehotairrecyclingthroughthe
condenser.Theusedhotairisextractedfromthespaceeitherthroughnaturalconvectionortheuseofan
extractionfan.Thisresultsincross owventilation.
