Getting started
Installation tips
- First, turn off all devices (TV and HDMI sources) before connecting them to the TV Anywhere Wireless HDTM. If a device cannot be turned off, please remove its plug from the wall socket.
- For the best picture and sound quality, only use High Speed HDMI® certified cables.
- Please be careful when connecting your HDMI cables. These damage easily.
Connecting an HD transmitter
The transmitter sends the HD video signal wirelessly to the receiver in
another room. Therefore, place the transmitter near your HDMI source (for
example: a digital TV decoder, Blu-ray player, Media Player, Media Center
PC/laptop, or hard disk recorder).
- Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI source to the HDMI port marked “HDMI IN” on the HD transmitter.
- Optional: To continue watching TV in this room as well, use an HDMI cable (not supplied) to connect a TV to the HDMI port marked “HDMI OUT”.
- Connect the power adapter to the connector marked “POWER” and insert the plug into the wall socket.
Connecting an HD receiver
Place the receiver in the room (bedroom, study or other room) where you want
to connect the second TV or projector.
- Use an HDMI cable to connect your TV or projector to the HDMI port marked “HDMI OUT” on the HD receiver.
- Connect the power adapter to the connector marked “POWER” and insert the plug into the wall socket.
Connecting infrared return
The TV Anywhere Wireless HDTM has a built-in “infrared return feature” that
enables continued operation of the connected HDMI sources from another room.
For example, operate your HDMI source downstairs from your bedroom (location
of second TV).
-
Placement of IR receiver
The IR receiver receives the commands sent by your (infrared) remote control and sends these to the IR led, enabling you to operate your connected HDMI sources.
• Connect the IR receiver cable (1) to the HD receiver, using the connector marked “IR”.
• Install the IR receiver so it can receive the transmitted commands from your (infrared) remote control (max. 10 metres from the remote control).
• The most logical place for the IR receiver is near your second TV or projector.
• Using the self-adhesive strip, placement is possible virtually anywhere.
• Please experiment with correct placement before final attachment of the IR receiver.
Please note! The adhesive strip may cause discolouration on certain surfaces, or leave adhesive residues after removal. -
Placement of IR led
The IR led receives the commands sent by the IR receiver and forwards them to your connected HDMI sources.
• Connect the IR led extender cable (2) to the HD transmitter’s connector marked “IR”.
• Make sure that the led of the IR extender cable is attached exactly over the HDMI source’s infrared sensor (with some equipment, this needs to be done very precisely). The exact position can be found easily by shining a torch on the front panel, searching for the IR sensor window.
• Please experiment with correct placement before final attachment of the IR led.
Please note! The adhesive strip may cause discolouration on certain surfaces, or leave adhesive residues after removal. -
Testing the IR return function
Once you have connected the IR receiver and IR led extension cables according to the above description, it is recommended to test the function first.
• Aim your remote control towards the IR receiver and send a command.
• The IR Receiver will now send this command to the transmitter through the receiver.
• The transmitter will forward this command to the IR led.
• The IR led then forwards the command to the HDMI source.
• The HDMI source should now execute the function associated with the command sent by your remote control.
Connecting the USB extension
In addition to an infrared return feature, the TV Anywhere Wireless HDTM also
features a built-in USB extension function. This helps you to continue to
operate connected HDMI sources, such as a Media Center PC or laptop, from
another room, using a mouse and/or keyboard.
-
To the HD transmitter
Using the included Micro USB cable, connect your PC or laptop to the Micro USB socket marked “USB” on the HD transmitter. -
To the HD receiver
Connect your mouse and/or keyboard to the connectors marked “USB” on the HD receiver. -
Testing the USB extension function
Once you have connected the Micro USB cable and your mouse/keyboard according to the above description, it is recommended to test the feature first.
• Take your mouse/keyboard and use one of the functions.
• The HD receiver will now send this function to the HD transmitter.
• The HD transmitter will now forward this function to the Media Center PC or laptop.
• The Media Center PC or laptop should now execute the function of your mouse/keyboard.

Watching TV or a film on smartphone/tablet
The TV Anywhere Wireless HD also enables you to create your own content to
watch on a smartphone/tablet, using the accompanying TV Anywhere app (iOS and
Android).
Use the following steps to create a direct connection to your
smartphone/tablet.
- Download the TV Anywhere app in the App Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android).
- For this function, you only need the set’s HD transmitter. The HD receiver may therefore remain OFF. After you have switched ON the HD transmitter, it will act as a Wi-Fi access point after approx. 40 seconds.
- Go to the settings menu of your smartphone/tablet, connect to the Wi-Fi network with the name ”TX**TX” and use password: 12345678
- Now, start the TV Anywhere app to be able to enjoy your own content.
Please note: Once your smartphone/tablet is connected to the transmitter’s Wi-Fi network, the internet connection on your smartphone/tablet will be inactive. You will still receive phone calls and text messages.
When you have finished watching TV or a film on your smartphone/tablet and want to restore the use of an internet connection, return to the settings menu of your smartphone/tablet and reconnect with your own Wi-Fi network. You can also achieve this by turning off the transmitter.
Please note: To be able to also watch TV locally (via the HDMI output of the HD transmitter), the HD transmitter should always be switched on.
Watching TV or a film on a smartphone with VR glasses
The TV Anywhere app also has a feature where the image can be split in 2
parts. This allows you to watch your own content via the transmitter and your
smartphone using VR (Virtual Reality) glasses for an even nicer experience.
When you want to use VR glasses, you can use the symbol in the upper left
corner of the screen to split the picture into different formats, matching
your smartphone and VR glasses.
- Clicking the symbol successively enables you to change the setting.
- The symbol will disappear when you keep it clicked.
- The symbol will re-appear when you click once on its previous position.
