Instructions for Use
Preparing the 1.5 Litre Jug Blender
STEP 1: Switch off and unplug the blender from the mains power supply.
STEP 2: Position the blender base unit onto a flat, stable surface, at a
height that is comfortable for the user; check that the rubber feet are firmly
planted so that the blender does not wobble during use.
STEP 3: Make sure that the variable speed dial is set to the off position
(0); never assemble the blender while the variable speed dial is set to any of
the on positions.
STEP 4: Place the blending jug on top of the blender base unit, making
sure that there is a secure fit and that the blending jug base is correctly
aligned with the top base gear. The blending jug handle should be positioned
to the right.
STEP 5: To attach the blending jug to the blender base unit, gently twist
the blending jug in a clockwise direction into the ‘locked’ position.
STEP 6: Cut all of the ingredients for blending into small pieces and add
them into the blending jug, along with some liquid. STEP 7: Secure the
blending jug lid by aligning it with the top of the blending jug and gently
twisting it in a clockwise direction, so that the locking pins fit into the
locking pin inserts. The blending jug lid should lock securely into place. The
blender is equipped with a safety switch; it will only turn on once the
blending jug is correctly attached to the blender base unit and the blending
jug lid is fitted correctly.
STEP 8: Place the measuring cup into the hole on the blending jug lid.
Note: Be careful not to overfill the blender as this can cause damage and
the ingredients will spill out. The food or liquid should not reach above the
maximum capacity of 1.5 litres for this unit.
Using the 1.5 Litre Jug Blender
STEP 1 : Once the jug is securely in place with the lid attached, hold
the blender base unit steady, then turn the variable speed dial clockwise to
the required speed setting (1-2) or anticlockwise to activate the pulse (P)
setting.
STEP 2: Once the ingredients have been blended to the desired
consistency, turn the variable speed dial to the off position (0) and wait for
the blades to stop rotating before removing the lid.
STEP 3: Unplug from the mains power supply, and turn it off before
attempting to remove any food from the blending jug. To disconnect the
blending jug from the blender base unit, gently twist it in an anticlockwise
direction.
STEP 4: Remove the blending jug lid by gently twisting it in an
anticlockwise direction pulling off and removing it from the blending
Note: The blender will not operate unless the lid and the blending jug
are locked into position.
It is recommended to begin blending on the low (1) speed setting and to
increase to the high (2) speed setting if necessary. Additional ingredients
can be added during the blending process by removing the measuring cup.
Add liquid ingredients before solids. This should result in more consistent
blending and will prevent unnecessary stress on the motor.
The blender is not suitable for mixing hot foods; wait for ingredients to cool
to room temperature before blending.
Do not blend for more than 90 seconds. If blending takes longer than 90
seconds, allow the blender to cool for 5 minutes between blending cycles.
Caution: Do not use the blender whilst empty.
Speed Setting | Description |

P | Power is on as long as the variable speed dial is held in this |
position. Pulse is for quick bursts of speed. Ideal for ice, nuts and seeds.

Hints and Tips
- Make sure that all of the ingredients added to the blending jug have been cut up into small pieces. For a consistent blend, add any liquid ingredients to the blending jug first, then add the solids.
- More ingredients can be added during blending by detaching the measuring cap and adding them through the opening.
- The blender is not suitable for mixing hot liquids.
- If the ingredients stick to the sides of the blending jug during use, turn the blender off, unplug it from the mains power supply and use a plastic spatula to push the ingredients back down towards the stainless steel cross-blade.
- Do not remove the blending jug from the blender base unit whilst the blender is in operation
- The stainless steel cross-blade is not removable. Do not attempt to remove the stainless steel cross-blade from the blending jug base.
- For nuts, seeds and ice, try using the pulse setting in short bursts.
- When blending ice cream, do not use it straight from the freezer — allow it to warm for 5-10 minutes before blending.
- If any liquid leaks out of the blending jug lid, the blending jug may be overfilled. Reduce the liquid level and resume blending.
Storage
Check that the blender and its accessories are cool, clean and dry before
storing in a cool, dry place.
Turn the blending jug upside down, before placing it gently over the blender
base unit. Place the blending jug lid and the measuring cap on top of the base
of the upside-down blending lug.
