Charging Your Speakers
You’re anxious to take your new speakers out for a spin. We get it. But before you do, charge them for four hours. As long as the speakers are connected to each other you can plug the cable into any micro USB port.
Enjoying Your Speakers
The speakers work best if the AirBase is within 32’ of your smart device. If you’re out of range or your wireless connection is weak, your music may cut out briefly. Don’t worry: Please make sure Bluetooth® is enabled on your device before you start the pairing process.
-
Turn on your speakers. When the speakers are connected to each other, pressing any of the power buttons will turn them all on. If separated you will need to turn on each one individually.Do you see a little green light on the back of each one? Good. That means they’re all on and connected.
-
Now it’s time to connect your AirBase to whatever Bluetooth® enabled device you’d like to use. You’ll hear a friendly voice telling you your speakers are in “pairing mode.”
-
Your smart phone or tablet will show a list of devices nearby; just choose “Air.” Now you’ll hear a friendly voice confirming you’re paired.
-
You’re all set. Now you can separate the speakers and put them wherever you want (just so long as they’re within 75’ of the AirBase).
*Disclaimer: Please note there are circumstances that may restrict the wireless connection from working to it’s full 75’ wireless capability like interference or thick walls.
But wait, there’s more. You can also pair each AirConnect speakers to its own Bluetooth® Source to use as a separate Bluetooth® Speaker. Whoa, sounds complex, right? It’s not. Just 3 little steps.
-
While the speakers are off, press and hold the power button until you hear a chime and then a beep.
-
Press the power button again to switch to Bluetooth® mode. The little indicator light will turn blue.
-
Your smart phone or tablet will show a list of devices nearby – choose “Air Left” or “Air Right.” You’ll hear another beep and, presto!, it’s done.
*Disclaimer: Both right speakers and left speakers have the same pairing names. Some devices may not allow you to pair to one of the speakers when you have already paired to a different speaker with the same name. You might need to delete the pairing name and try to repair.
Audio output of the Air can be used to connect to an alternate audio system, such as a home theater system, or a TV, by plugging the audio cable into the “OUT” jack on the Air and to the “line in” of the audio system of your choice.
Connection Lost?
- If pairing to the speakers does not work, turn off the speakers and repeat the steps again in “Using Speakers.”
- Make sure your speakers are within range of your smart device.
- If you hear a long beep or a voice indicating low battery, you need to recharge your speakers. Connection may be lost due to low battery.
- When charging your speakers, only use the enclosed USB cable.
