Setup Door/Window Sensor 7 with Hubitat Print

This guide will leave you through connecting your Door / Window Sensor 7 with Hubitat which will feature these functions for either ZWA011 or ZWA012:
Door / Window Sensor 7 Gen7 (ZWA011)
- Open/Close status
- Tamper
- Battery level
Door / Window Sensor 7 Pro Gen7 (ZWA012)
- Open/Close status
- Sensor Operation Mode configuration
- Internal Magnet Sensor
- External Terminal Inputs
- Tamper
- Battery level
Steps to pair Door/Window Sensor 7 to Hubitat.
- Open your Hubitat interface.
- Click on Devices.
- Click on Discover Devices.
- Click on Z-Wave.
- Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion.
- Remove the cover of your Door/Window Sensor 7.
- Now tap the small black tamper switch 3x quickly on Door/Window Sensor 7.
- A device box should appear almost immediately, give it about 20 seconds to initialize, feel free to name your device and save this.
- Now go to “ Devices “.
- Click on your Door/Window Sensor 7.
- Under “ Device Information ” change Type to “ Aeotec Door/Window Sensor 7 Series “.
- Click on “ Save Device “.
How to exclude Door/Window Sensor 7 from Hubitat.
- Open your Hubitat interface.
- Click on Devices.
- Click on Discover Devices.
- Click on Z-Wave.
- Click on Start Z-Wave Exclusion.
- Remove the cover of your Door/Window Sensor 7.
- Now tap the small black tamper switch 3x quickly on Door/Window Sensor 7.
- Your Hubitat should tell you if it excluded an unknown device or a specific sensor if it was paired properly previously.
Troubleshooting
Having issues pairing your device?

Move your Sensor within 4 – 10 ft of your Hubitat Z-Wave network.

Remove power from Door/Window Sensor 7 for 1 minute, then power it up again.

Try factory resetting or excluding your Door/Window Sensor 7.
- Exclude first in case the device actually paired to Hubitat otherwise it will leave a phantom device in your network that will be difficult to remove.
- Perform a manual hard factory reset
- Remove the cover of your Door/Window Sensor 7
- Press and hold the tamper switch for 5 seconds until the red LED blinks.
- Quickly release the tamper switch , and then immediately press and hold again.
* If successful, the LED will display a solid green LED.
