aërQ Temperature & Humidity Sensor is intended for indoor use in dry locations only. Do not use in locations with direct water contact.

Quick start.

The following will step you through installing aërQ
Temperature & Humidity Sensor and connecting it to

your Z-Wave™ network.

  1. Remove the battery insulation strip from your aërQ Temperature & Humidity Sensor.

  2. Add aërQ Temperature & Humidity Sensor to your Z-Wave network;
    a. If your Z-Wave gateway supports SmartStart: scan the QR code on aërQ Temperature & Humidity Sensor using the gateway’s app. Your sensor will join your Z-Wave network automatically.
    b. If your gateway does not support SmartStart;
    i. Set your Z-Wave gateway into its ‘add device’ mode. Refer to the gateway’s manual if you are unsure of how to perform this step.
    ii. Press the sensor’s button 3 times within 1.5 seconds; it is located on the top middle section of this device.
    iii. When aërQ Temperature & Humidity Sensor is joining your Z-Wave network, its LED will blink green and red.
    iv. If pairing is successful, your sensor’s LED will change to a green color for 3 seconds before turning off. If pairing failed, your sensor’s LED will flash red 3 times; repeat the step or contact us for further support if needed.

  3. After connecting aërQ Temperature & Humidity Sensor to your gateway, test it in your chosen installation location by pressing the action button. If its LED briefly blinks green, it has a good connection to your gateway. Place or affix it in place using the included adhesive.

The aërQ Temperature & Humidity Sensor is now a part of your Z-Wave home control system. You can configure it and its automation via your Z-Wave system; please refer to your software’s user guide for precise instructions.
