Audi Alexa Built-in

When you activate Alexa Built-in voice technology in your Audi vehicle, you can ask to play music, place calls, listen to audiobooks, hear the news, check the weather, control smart home devices, get directions, find parking, and more—all with your voice, and all while you keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. The more you talk to Alexa, the more she adapts to your personal speech patterns, vocabulary, and preferences. This tutorial will explain how to enable Alexa Auto features in your Audi.
Attention : The steps below will describe how to set up and play Amazon Alexa in your Audi vehicle. Before first usage, make sure you have registered and set up your myAudi account. You can find more information here: https://login.audi.com/registration

Start Using Alexa in Your Audi

You will need a smartphone, internet connection, and the login details for your Amazon account. Once set up, users can use the voice controls in their vehicle to activate Amazon Alexa content using their Audi MMI touchscreen and voice recognition system in their vehicle.

  1. You must enable the online speech dialog system in your vehicle. On the Audi MMI, select Settings > General > Speech Dialog System > Consent To Speech Dialog System Online Recognizer, and provide consent by sliding the button to the right.
  2. On your Audi MMI touchscreen, login if you have not already, by selecting User > myAudi Login, and then enter the user name and password for a registered myAudi account. Underneath your myAudi user, select Connect to Amazon Alexa. Select Yes to link your myAudi account to your Amazon account and agree to the disclaimer.
  3. A QR code and a unique password will appear. On your mobile device, you can either enter the web address manually along with the password, or use a compatible mobile device to read the QR code and select the link to the Amazon login site that appears on your mobile screen.
  4. Sign-In to your Amazon Account. Your mobile device will display an Audi Alexa Integration access request. Select Allow. Your Audi MMI touchscreen will verify the Alexa connection.
  5. Activate Alexa by pressing the speech operation button on the steering wheel. Wait for the acoustic signal and simply ask Alexa a question, like: “Alexa, what is the weather forecast for tomorrow?”
