EVENFLO 5203201 Memory Fit II Baby Gate Pressure-Mounted
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
No tools required
- Place gate A in a doorway that is 27-42 inches (69cm -107cm) wide. Note: DO NOT pressurize gate against drywall, unless reinforced with a wall stud.
- Extend gate A until all four contact pads B touch the mounting surface. Note: Rubber contact pads may mark some mounting surtaces.
- Push the handle C down as far as you can. Make sure the locking button D locks into one of the adjustment slots. Note: DO NOT FORCE the locking button into the next lower adjustment slot.
- Pull on all four comers of gate A to ensure a tight fit. If the gate is not secure remove it and repeat the steps. Note: The gate may not fit in all openings. If you cannot ensure the gate is secure, DO NOT use it in the location.
TO REMOVE THE GATE
- Press locking button D then raise handle C and remove the gate. This handle position is the “‘memory” position, which allows you to reinstall the gate without readjusting the width.
- To readjust gate width, press the locking button D and fully raise the handle C.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth
WARNING
Children have died or been seriously injured when gate is not securely installed. ALWAYS install and use gate as directed using all required parts.
- Read the instructions before installation as incorrect installation can be dangerous.
- NEVER use with child able to climb over, dislodge or open the gate.
- NEVER leave child unattended.
- NEVER use to keep child away from pool.
- To help prevent falls, NEVER use at the top of the stairs.
- Intended for use ONLY with children 6 months through 24 months.
- To ensure proper fit, use ONLY in openings between 27(69 cm) and 42″ (10/ cm) wide.
- To help prevent entrapment DO NOT allow space between bottom of gate and floor to exceed 3″ (7.62 cm).
- Use ONLY with the locking/ latching mechanism securely engaged fo help prevent gate from dislodging.
- To help prevent accidental unlocking, install with the locking/latching mechanism on the side away from the child.
- To prevent falls DO NOT attempt to step over gate.
- STOPusing gate if any parts are missing or damaged to help ensure proper gate funcfion.
- Use in doorways with wooden frames. When installing against drywall, ensure the mounting surface is reinforced with a wall stud to help prevent damage.
- Periodically check all fasteners to be sure they are tight and secure to prevent gate from dislodging.
- Pressure-mounted gates may dislodge if significant pressure is placed against them. Avoid applying significant pressure or weight.
- This gate will NOT necessarily prevent all accidents.
- For INDOOR USE only.
- STRANGULATION HAZARD-Pets can force themselves into very small openings. Use this gate only with pets whose head or body WILL NOT fit into openings in the gate, between the gate and the floor, or between the gate and the wall.
