If you can’t download or update apps on your Mac
Try this if you have an issue when you update or download apps from the App Store on your Mac.
Are you signed in to the App Store?
Make sure that you’re signed in with the right Apple ID.
Do you have a valid payment method on file?
You might need to have a payment method on file, even if the app that you want to download is free. You can add a payment method or edit your payment method.
If you can’t update apps and you see a message that says “your account is disabled in the App Store”, there might be a problem with your payment method. Contact Apple Support for assistance.
Is the App Store available?
Check Apple’s System Status page to see if the App Store is temporarily unavailable in your country or region.
Manually update the app
Open the App Store and try to update the app manually.

Restart your Mac
