ANALOGUE TIDE INSTRUCTIONS
Congratulations on your purchase of a new RIP CURL TIDE watch. Your watch has been specifically designed to help you score the best surf. Time and Tide is everything, and with this Swiss Parts Jeweled tide movement with time, date, and small seconds hand, you’ll always know.
TIME AND DATE SETTING
– Pull out crown fully to point C.
– Turn the crown to move the hands to the correct time. – Pull out the crown
to point B.
– Turn the crown clockwise to the current date. – Push the crown back in
fully.
TIDE SETTING
Find the CURRENT TIDE POSITION for your desired location from a trusted
tide data source, website or tide guide. This is the time you will set in
your watch.
From your tide chart calculate the tide height right now. Tides are
generally six hours apart. If your chart says the high tide is three hours
from now, set your watch to mid-tide, rising.
– HOLD the TIDE SET button for 2 seconds to unlock the tide setting
function.
– PRESS or HOLD the TIDE SET button to advance the tide hand to the
CURRENT TIDE POSITION. – After 15 seconds the TIDE SET function will
lock.
WARNING!
IMPORTANT: For your watch to be properly sealed, the crown must be fully
pushed in. Never pull the crown out when your watch is in the water or wet.
Navigation disclaimer
IMPORTANT: Rip Curl tide watches must not be used for navigation at any time. Remember that weather conditions, changes in climate and the coastal environment can affect tidal changes/ranges, sometimes very strongly. Therefore Rip Curl cannot guarantee the information contained in this watch, nor accept responsibility or liability for variances to actual tide conditions.
