SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Plug the Roadtripper VOICE into your car’s 12-volt socket. It will turn on and the LED display will read “HI” ➔ Battery Voltage ➔ “bt” ➔ FM frequency.
  2. Turn on your car’s FM radio and tune it to an unused FM frequency.
  3. Adjust the FM frequency of the Roadtripper VOICE to match the frequency shown on your car radio. To adjust the FM frequency:
  • Long press to enter FM frequency adjustment mode (the digital radio station frequency on the LED display will start to blink).
  • Then press and to adjust the frequency from 87.5 to 108.0 Mhz. Remember to select an open frequency where there is no radio broadcast. It may take several tries on different frequencies to get clear reception and the best sound quality.
  • When the desired frequency is set on the display, wait three seconds without operation to exit the FM frequency adjustment mode.

BLUETOOTH PAIRING

When connecting the product with the mobile phone for the first time, it may need a pin code to finish the connection (usually 0000 or 1234).

  1. Switch on Bluetooth on your mobile phone and search for the device “BT Voice” from the phone’s list of available Bluetooth devices.
  2. Choose the device “BT Voice”.
  3. Allow the phone and FM transmitter to pair.
  4. You are now ready to use your Roadtripper VOICE.

CONNECTING ADDITIONAL DEVICES

When the vehicle’s ignition is turned on, the Roadtripper VOICE will automatically connect only to the paired device that was connected last time. To connect a different phone or other device, follow the pairing instructions above.

Note: Some phones can be automatically connected with the Roadtripper VOICE when it is powered on again. Some phones may not automatically connect, and some phones may need to grant permission for each connection. You can set your phone to “Auto connect”. For more information, please refer to the phone’s user manual.

HANDS-FREE CALLS THROUGH BLUETOOTH

When your Bluetooth device is idle or playing music:

  1. Make a call: In the connected state, dial the phone number using the mobile phone. The sound from the call is automatically sent to the car audio speaker.
  2. Answer a call: In the connected state, when a call is being received, press to answer the call. Once the call has been answered, press the button or the button to switch between Bluetooth and the hands-free phone. To end the call, press the button again.
  3. Reject a call: When a call is being received but you don’t want to answer it, press and hold the button to reject the call.
  4. Redial a call: When the Bluetooth device is powered on but idle, double-press the button to redial the last phone number called.

PLAYING MUSIC

The Roadtripper VOICE supports A2DP functionality and can stream music stored in a connected phone, on a USB flash drive, or on a MicroSD card, to the car stereo through FM transmission. With the Roadtripper VOICE tuned to the same frequency as your car radio, select your source of music (Bluetooth device, USB flash drive or MicroSD card) by long-pressing the button to switch the mode: “bt” ➔ “USb” ➔ “tf”. Use the button to control music playback (play/pause). Use the and buttons to select the previous or next song.
If streaming music from a Bluetooth device, select the song to play from the phone. If a USB flash drive or MicroSD card is inserted into the Roadtripper VOICE, it will automatically read and play the music.

SIRI®/VOICE ASSISTANT FUNCTION

After a Bluetooth device is paired, press and hold the button for 3 seconds to activate Siri/voice assistant. You will be able to activate some if not all apps or commands you can usually perform with a voice assistant such as maps, searching for music, etc. (Supported mobile phone brands are iPhone, Samsung, and native Android system mobile phones. Note: Some phones do not support this feature.)

TIPS AND TRICKS

  1. To avoid audio feedback while on phone calls, do not turn the radio volume too high.
  2. Although the transmission power of this product is relatively strong, be sure to select a frequency that is not used in your area. You may need to try a few different frequencies to get the best sound quality.
  3. Do not use the product in extremely high or low temperatures and in dusty or humid environments.
  4. Avoid dropping the product to prevent damage.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Bracketron, Inc. warrants this product against defects in material or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Bracketron, at its option, may repair or replace with new or refurbished product, any product which Bracketron determines to be defective. “Refurbished” means any product that has been returned to its original specifications. To obtain warranty services, you must deliver the product, freight prepaid, to Bracketron, Inc. at 5624 Lincoln Dr., Edina, MN 55436. A dated purchase receipt MUST accompany the returned product. This Limited Warranty shall apply to any repair or replacement product for the remainder of the original Limited Warranty or for a period of ninety (90) days—whichever is longer. BRACKETRON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT.
