BREAST SHELLS
Please read these instructions carefully and keep for future reference.
BREAST SHELLS offers a positive help during the delicate period of breast-
feeding.
- Collects milk spills during feeding, preventing prolonged skin contact with milk residues and offering protection for clothing.
- Allows nipples to breathe thanks to the ventilation holes, which permit air to circulate and keep skin dry.
- The soft silicone membrane provides comfortable skin contact and gently adapts to the breast’s shape.
- The anatomical design fits the breast’s shape.
- The supplied beaker allows the easy pouring of milk.
CLEANING AND HYGIENE
- Before using CHICCO BREAST SHELLS for the first time, separate each component and wash thoroughly with water and domestic washing up liquid, then rinse carefully.
- Before every use, sanitise the product (after having separated all of the parts) in boiling water and/or with an electric steriliser, a steriliser for the oven or the microwave oven, or cold water sterilising equipment.
- After each use, eliminate the milk and wash the product carefully as indicated in point 1, being sure to eliminate any milk residue. Dry and store in a clean, dry place away from light and direct sources of heat. Do not wash in a dishwasher.
HOW TO USE CHICCO BREAST SHELLS to Collect Excess Milk
Wash hands and breast carefully. Place the soft silicone membrane over the breast shell taking care that it attaches firmly. Place the breast shell inside the bra and rest the nipple inside the opening, ensuring that the ventilation holes are facing upward. Ensure that the shells do not exert too much pressure on the breast when wearing tight clothing.
To empty the shell, gently remove the silicone membrane. For information on hygiene and how to use the shells, follow the instruction at points 1, 2 and 3. We recommend using Breast Shells during the night and always in a lying down position. In this case, you can use the single use CHICCO PADS.
WARNING
- When not in use, keep the product out of reach of children.
- Do not use the product when showing signs of damage or wear.
- When not in use, store the product in a clean, dry, closed container, away from sunlight or direct heat sources.
- Keep all packaging (such as plastic bags, cardboard boxes. etc) out of children’s reach, as they could present a source of danger.
- This product is expressly intended only for the use that it was designed for (i.e. as Breast Shell).
- Report any serious accident to the manufacturer and to the competent authorities for the given country.
