Instructions Guide
Navigation Controls
ON/OFF button
To turn your radio on, press the ON/OFF button.
To turn your radio off and into standby press and hold the ON/OFF button.
Navigation/Select dial
Use the navigation dial to scroll around the radio and browse through your
selections and stations available.
Press down the dial to select your chosen stations or make settings.
Mode button
Switch between DAB/FM/Bluetooth/AUX In using the mode button.
Info button
On DAB or FM mode, select repeatedly for station information and radio setting
options.
Also use the button to go back when creating settings and alarms.
Scan/Pair
In DAB or FM mode, press this button to scan for available stations.
In Bluetooth mode, press button to connect and disconnect your Bluetooth
device.
Basic Operation
Plug the connector into the back of the system labelled DC 5V
(Ref.14) and the power supply into the mains.
Ensure the antenna (Ref.15) is extended as far as possible so that you can
rotate it. This will enable you to get the best signal you can.
Press the ‘On/Off’ button to turn on the unit (Ref.2). It will automatically
take you to DAB/DAB+ radio mode or to the previous mode that you were using.
When DAB/DAB+ radio is activated for the first time it will automatically
start scanning and storing all stations that have a strong signal. If scanning
does not automatically start, press the ‘Scan/Pair’ button (Ref.5).
To change the mode, press the ‘Mode’ button (Ref.3). This will switch between
DAB/DAB+ Radio, FM Radio, Bluetooth and Aux in.
The display screen will dim automatically after 10 seconds if left in standby
or working mode.
Standby
To place the music system in standby, press and hold the ‘On/Off’ button
(Ref.2). To turn off fully, switch it off at the mains. The cord must be out
of reach of children.
DAB/DAB+ Radio
Press the ‘Mode’ button (Ref.3) to switch to DAB/DAB+ Radio. In DAB/DAB+ mode,
the radio will synchronize with the time and date of the station.
Ensure that the antenna is fully extended so that the best signal is being
received for the radio scan (Ref.15).
On first use, the radio on DAB mode will automatically scan all stations and
save them. If the radio has not automatically started a scan, you can start an
auto scan by pressing the ‘Scan/Pair’ button (Ref.5) and then release. This
will start scanning up the frequency band and store all stations that have
good signal.
The radio will automatically save all the stations with a strong signal, up to
240 MHz. After searching has finished it will automatically play the first
station stored.
To browse through all stations that have been stored, use the ‘Select’ dial
(Ref.7) to scroll through them. When on your chosen station, press down the
‘Select’ dial (Ref.7) to select the station to begin playing.
The radio will display station information when you press the ‘Info’ button
(Ref.4). Press multiple times to view all information available (See page 10).
When you turn the radio on again after it switching off, it will automatically
tune to the same station (DAB or FM) that was last selected.
DAB/DAB+ Preset Stations
How to preset a radio station
Up to 10 DAB/DAB+ stations can be preset for easy navigation and listening. To
store a station that you are currently playing, it is best to be listening to
the station.
To preset your chosen station, press and hold the ‘Preset’ button (Ref.6)
until “Preset Store <1: (Empty)” shows on the screen.
Now follow by scrolling with the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) until the
number displays that you wish to save the station preset number as. To select
your choice, press down the dial.
The display will then show “Preset [x] Stored”.
Repeat the same process when making other preset stations. To remove a station
as a preset, simply save a new station over it.
How to play a preset radio station
Press the ‘Preset’ button (Ref.6).
Use the Navigation/Select dial to scroll through your preset stations (Ref.7).
Once your chosen station displays that you wish to play, simply press down the
Navigation/Select dial to select it to play.
Your chosen preset station will then begin to play.
DAB/DAB+ Settings
In DAB mode, you can access settings by pressing and holding the ‘Info’ button
(Ref.4). Browse through the setting options and select an option with the
Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7):
Full Scan – Select this option to begin a full scan. Alternatively, press
the ‘Scan/Pair’ button for this function.
Manual Tune – Select this option to manually scroll through the stations
by channel and frequency.
DRC – This function enables you to reduce the difference between the
maximum and minimum audio volume being broadcast. This makes quiet sounds
comparatively louder,
and loud sounds comparatively quieter. DRC only works if it is enabled by the
broadcaster for a specific station.
When you select this option, you can use the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) to
browse between setting OFF, High or Low. Select your choice by pressing down
the dial.
Prune – Select this function to remove stations that are listed but are
unavailable. Once this option is selected, the radio will require you to
select Yes or No – select Yes for prune settings to be applied.
System – Select this option to enter radio settings. You can adjust
settings such as time, backlight, language, factory reset, SW version
(Software). For guidance on these settings, please refer to the Settings
instructions on page 18.
DAB/DAB+ Station Information
When on a DAB station with signal, you are able to find out station
information available. Press the ‘Info’ button (Ref.4) repeatedly to show the
programme information (do not hold).
Signal Strength Bar: Displays a signal bar with the strength of the
current station
PTY (Programme Type): Shows the type and description of the programme
provided by the DAB station.
Channel number and Frequency: Displays the station’s transmission channel
number and frequency
Bit Rate: The data range which the signal is being transmitted
Bit Error Rate: Provides details of the signal error rate.
Time and Date: Displays the time and date information provided by the
broadcaster.
Dynamic Label Segment (DLS): Displays scrolling text information supplied
by the broadcaster
FM Radio
FM Scan
Press the ‘Mode’ button (Ref.3) to switch to between DAB, FM, Bluetooth and
AUX-in. The first time you do this, FM frequency “87.50MHz” will be displayed
on the screen.
Ensure that the antenna is fully extended so that the best signal is being
received for the radio scan (Ref.15).
To auto scan up the bandwidth, press and release the ‘Scan/Pair’ button
(Ref.5). This will start scanning up the frequency band and play the first
station it finds with a strong signal.
To autoscan down the frequency band, press and hold the ‘Scan/Pair’ button
(Ref.5) for a few seconds.
The radio will display station information when you press the ‘Info’ button
(Ref.4). Press multiple times to view all information available (See page 14).
When you turn the radio on again after it switching off, it will automatically
tune to the same station (DAB or FM) that was last selected.
How to tune a frequency manually
To listen to a specific frequency, you can manually scroll up and down the
bandwidth using the Navigation/Select dial until on your chosen station.
FM Radio Preset Stations
How to preset a radio station
Up to 10 FM stations can be preset for easy navigation and listening. To store
a station that you are currently playing, it is best to be listening to the
station.
To preset your chosen station, press and hold the ‘Preset’ button (Ref.6)
until “Preset Store <1: (Empty)” shows on the screen.

FM Radio Settings
In FM mode, you can access FM settings by pressing and holding the ‘Info’
button (Ref.4). Browse through the setting options and select a settings
option with the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7):
Scan Setting
Select this option to choose between scanning strong and weak signals (All) or
only the strong stations (Strong Only). Press the
‘Select’ dial (Ref.7) to confirm your choice.
Audio Setting
Select this option to choose between stereo or mono on FM mode. Use the
Navigation/Select dial to scroll between Stereo Allowed or Forced Mono and
press the ‘Select’ dial (Ref.7) to confirm your choice.
System
Select this option to enter radio settings. You can adjust settings such as
time, backlight, language, factory reset, SW version (Software). For guidance
on these settings, please refer to the Settings instructions on page 18.
FM Station Information
When on a FM station with signal, you are able to find out station information
available. Press the ‘Info’ button (Ref.4) repeatedly to show the programme
information.
PTY (Programme Type): Shows the type and description of the programme
provided by the FM station.
Channel Frequency: Displays the station’s frequency
Stereo or Mono: Will display if the radio is set to stereo or mono. Time:
Displays the time
Date: Displays the date
Dynamic Label Segment (DLS): Displays scrolling text information supplied
by the broadcaster
Bluetooth and AUX-in
Bluetooth
Press the ‘Mode’ button (Ref.3) to switch to between DAB, FM, Bluetooth and
AUX-in until Bluetooth mode is displayed.
Once on Bluetooth mode, go to your settings on your phone/tablet that you wish
to connect to the Majority Fulbourn II. Select the ‘Fulbourn II’ to begin
connecting via Bluetooth.
Once connected, the radio’s display screen will show “BT Connected”. You can
now begin to enjoy music and media from your Bluetooth device.
Use the ‘Play/Pause/Enter/Snooze’ button (Ref.9) to pause and play the
Bluetooth’s device media.
To disconnect the Bluetooth device from the Fulbourn II, simply press the
‘Scan/Pair’ button (Ref.5)
AUX-in
Press the ‘Mode’ button (Ref.3) to switch to between DAB, FM, Bluetooth and
AUX-in until AUX-in mode is displayed.
Connect an AUX cable into the AUX-in port at the back of the radio (Ref.12)
and connect to your chosen device.
Begin playing media and controlling media from your chosen device. Ensure that
the volume is switched up on your device.
Dual Alarm Settings
Press the ‘Alarm’ button (Ref.10) once for Alarm 1 or twice for Alarm 2. Press
down the ‘Navigation/Select’ dial (Ref.7) to confirm the alarm number you
would like to set.
To turn the alarm on or off, use the ‘Select’ dial (Ref.7) so that “ON” is
flashing and press down the ‘Select’ dial to confirm.
The hour digits for the alarm will flash. Use the ‘Select’ dial (Ref.7) to
change the hour and press down the ‘Select’ dial to confirm the hour for the
alarm to sound. Repeat the same process for the minutes.
Now choose the regularity of the alarm with the ‘Select’ dial (Ref.7) between:
Weekdays, Weekends, Once, Daily. Select your option by pressing down the dial.
Use the ‘Select’ dial (Ref.7) to change between which sound you would like:
Beeper, DAB or FM Radio. Press down the ‘Select’ dial to confirm.
Use the ‘Select’ dial (Ref.7) to change the volume and press down the dial to
confirm alarm volume.
The alarm is now set and will display as an icon.
Cancel your alarm
Press the ‘Alarm’ button (Ref.10) once for Alarm 1 or twice for Alarm 2. Press
down the ‘Navigation/Select’ dial (Ref.7) to confirm the alarm number you
would like to cancel.
To turn the alarm on or off, use the ‘Select’ dial (Ref.7) so that “OFF” is
flashing and press down the ‘Select’ dial to confirm.
Alarm Functions and Sleep Timer
Snoozing or turning off your alarm when sounding
When your alarm sounds, press the ‘Snooze/Mute’ button (Ref.9) to put the
radio into snooze mode for 9 minutes. The radio will go into standby and will
sound again in 9 minutes.
To turn off your alarm when it is sounding, press the ‘On/Off’ button (Ref.2)
to put the radio into standby mode.
Sleep Timer
This enables you to programme the radio to switch off and go to standby mode.
The sleep timer enables you to programme the radio to switch off at a specific
time, up to 120 minutes from activation.
To set the timer, press the ‘Sleep’ button (Ref.8).
With the ‘Navigation/Select’ dial (Ref.7), browse between the following sleep
timer lengths: Off/15/30/45/60 or 90 minutes. When your option is displayed,
select it by pressing down the dial.
To turn the sleep timer off, follow the above instructions but select the
“OFF” option.
Once the timer has been set, the minutes will count down on the display
screen. For example, if set to turn off in 5 minutes, “S5” will flash,
counting down to “S0” when the radio will go into standby mode.
Radio Settings
When on any mode, access the radio settings by pressing and holding down the
‘Info’ button (Ref.4). Scroll through to the
‘System’ option and select with the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) to browse
through the following settings options:
Time/Date
On first use of the DAB radio, the time and date will automatically set. If
you wish to manually set the time and date, select this option. The below
options will then display:
Set Time/Date: Set the time first, followed by the date. Use the
Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) to scroll up and down the date and time and
press down the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) to confirm after each setting
made. Once complete it will display “Time/Date Saved”
Auto update: If DAB mode not yet scanned, you can do an automatic set of
the clock and date.
Set 12/24 hour: Decide between a 12 hour or 24 hour clock.
Set Date format: Browse between a variety of date formats: DD-MM-YY and
MM-DD-YY.
Backlight: Set Backlight and Brightness
Timeout – Use the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) to scroll up and down to
decide how long you would like the radio’s backlight to display before going
to a lower dimmer setting. Decide between the following lengths of time: On,
10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, or 180 seconds and confirm your selection by
pressing down the ‘Select’ dial (Ref.7)
On Level (Brightness) – Select this option to choose the backlight
brightness level. Use the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) to scroll and select
one of the following options: High, Medium Low or OFF.
DIM Level (Brightness) – Select this option to choose the backlight
brightness level. Use the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) to scroll and select
one of the following options: High, Medium Low or OFF.
Language
Choose your chosen language by scrolling with the Navigation/ Select dial
(Ref.7). Choose between English, French, German or Italian and press the
‘Select’ dial (Ref.7) to confirm your choice.
Factory Reset
When you are on settings for the radio, select the option for Factory Reset.
This would be advisable if your radio is having functional issues or if you
would like to erase all settings.
The radio will then display: “Factory Reset?” with the options of “Yes”
or “No”. Use the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) to scroll to your chosen
option and click down the the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) to confirm.
SW Version (Software)
Select the option of “SW version” with the Navigation/Select dial (Ref.7) to
view the software version of the radio.
Additional Features
Dual USB Charging ports
Both USB ports (Ref.11) have a charging output of 5V/2A. When connected via a
USB lead into the USB port, a phone or tablet can be charged.
Please note: You cannot play your music via the USB connection, it is only for
charging a phone or tablet.
Headphone Jack
Insert the 3.5mm headphone jack of your earphones into the headphone jack of
the radio (Ref.13) to begin listening to your media through your favourite
earphones.
Please note: Bluetooth earphones are not compatible with this device.
Troubleshooting
Observation | Potential Cause/Solution |

No sound | The station is not tuned in properly. Please perform a rescan |
for available stations or manually scroll through
available stations.
Buttons are not
working
| Turn off the unit and turn on after a few seconds. Please
also try unplugging/replugging the radio.
FM: Static sound
DAB: Burbling/ intermittent cut-out
| Signal reception is low. Adjust the aerial or move the unit to a stronger signal location.
Re-scan stations and or/ a factory reset.
Sound is distorted| The volume is too high. Adjust the volume control.
Desired station not
found
| Weak signal. Use the manual tune function and try
rescanning in a different area.
Display shows “No Service”| There is no DAB coverage in your area, or poor reception. Adjust the position of the aerial, or move the unit to a
stronger signal location.
Display is blank| This may occur if the broadcaster changes the label of a service or removes a label while tuned. The radio will try
to retune or perform a scan.
Time and Date not setting automatically| Go to DAB mode and this
will automatically set once a scan is performed. Alternatively, set in your
‘Settings’.
Other problems/ functional issues| Please perform a factory reset of the
radio in your settings.

ADDITIONAL WARNINGS

Main plug is used to disconnect device and it should remain readily operable
during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the main mains
completely, the mains plug should be disconnected from the main socket outlet
completely.
Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the
like.
