INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING – DRAPER TOOLS WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO VEHICLE/COMPONENTS WHEN USING THIS TOOL.
■ Do not overload. Overloading could cause damage and/or failure of the engine
support and vehicle.
■ Ensure the rubber supports are securely located in the gutter of the
vehicle’s front wing panels. NOT ON TOP OF THE WINGS.
■ Once the support is positioned correctly, tighten all locking knobs, nuts
and bolts etc., before applying a load.
■ Always check that the engine/gearbox is properly secured to the support via
a suitable chain or sling.
- Locate the support over the engine or gearbox which is to be supported, ensuring that the rubber supports are securely located. In the inner gutters on the front wings. IMPORTANT: DO NOT locate the unit on top of the wings as this will result in damage to the panels.
- Tighten all lock knobs, nuts and bolts etc., on the support.
- Secure the engine or gearbox to the support using the chain supplied or similar, with a rated capacity which exceeds the weight of the engine/gearbox to be supported.
- Take up any slack by turning the handle assembly knob, (see parts listing), clockwise.
- Loosen engine or gearbox fixings. Check the chain or sling is secure and that the rubber supports are still correctly located.
- Carefully remove the engine or gearbox fixings, re-checking the points above as you go.
- Carry out the work to the engine or gearbox.
- When work is complete, reverse the above points and remove the support.
