Do not install or use this equipment without first reading and understanding this instruction sheet.
If you are unable to understand the cautions or instructions, please contact a healthcare professional or technical personnel before attempting to install this equipment. -
Before using the Upright Walker, you should be trained by a healthcare professional or dealer until you have practiced with someone and you feel confident you can maneuver by yourself.

Please consult with your physician or therapist to determine proper adjustment and usage.
QUICK USING GUIDE
INSTALLATIONS

Step 1. Install the Upright Walker Wheels
Take the walker out of the box, straighten the front and rear wheels, install the screws, and tighten. Double check they are firmly installed.

Step 2. Flatten the Seat
Push the seat open, then go to step 3.
Double check it is firmly installed.

Step 3. Install the Adjustable Handles
- Install the adjustable handlebars.
- Adjust the height according to your desired height.
Handlebars should be set at wrist level to keep your back straight.

Step 4. Install the Hand Brake
- Insert the handbrake into the handlebar, twist on the screw.
- Remember to hold the brake tightly when you are walking.
Double check it is firmly installed.

Step 5. Install the Upright Walker Bag
- Place the walker bag on the front tiller on each side.
- Storage bag can keep essential items within an easy reach.

Step 6. Install the Balance Bar
- Buckle the balance bar on both sides.
- Check that everything is stable before using.
Storage
To fold and store the Upright Walker, perform the above steps in reverse.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Important- Please check the brakes and wheels before each use.

The walker should be used on a level, dry ground. Ensure that you are accompanied by another person if possible. Practice using the walker until you feel comfortable.

When you use the walker please keep your hands touching the brake. This will ensure that you can stop the walker immediately and effectively to reduce the risk of falling.

Avoid sudden braking otherwise the walker will slip especially on wet smooth surfaces.

If possible, please have someone help you to go up stairways, or preferably take an elevator.

The maximum weight capacity is 300 lbs. and 11 lbs. for the storage bag.

It is not recommended to use the walker in BAD WEATHER(Rain/Storm/Lighting, etc.) or on smooth/wet ground.

Please slow down when starting to head downhill.
-
Do not use the walker on stairs or an escalator.
-
Do not attempt to push the walker while someone is sitting in the seat.
-
Do not use the seat to transport people or objects.
-
Do not use the seat without the backrest in place.
-
Do not sit on the seat when the walker is on an incline.
-
Only use the walker as a walking support.
-
Only use the specified accessories and spare parts for this walker.

Loads should only be transported using the pouch. Do not hang heavy items from the handles as this may affect the stability of the walker.

Do not self-propel the walker while seated. Serious injury to the user or damage to the walker frame or wheels may result from improper use.

Do not use the walker to walk backwards.

Caution must be taken when negotiating curbs and other obstacles, or when using on sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces.
Failure to do so may result in a serious risk of a fall or injury. -
Do not perform any adjustments to the walker while it is in use.

All (4) wheels must remain in contact with the floor at all times.
-
Brakes must be in the locked position before using the seat.
-
When using the walker in a stationary position, the brakes must be locked.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
- The frame can be wiped with a damp cloth or washed with a neutral cleaning agent.
- The wheels can be cleaned with a damp brush with plastic bristles (DO NOT use wire brushes).
- The seat back, seat, and transporting pouch can be washed with a mild soap.
- Do not use a high pressure or steam cleaner.
- Dry the walker with a towel. If possible, use some machine oil on brake parts to avoid rusting such as the brake cables, screws, etc.
WARRANTY
Your Protekt® Pilot Upright Walker is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years on frame /1 year on parts from the date of purchase for the original purchaser
The applicable warranty period shall commence from date of shipment to the original purchaser unless there is an expiration date on the component in which case the warranty shall expire on the earlier of warranty period or the expiration date.
This mobility device was manufactured to the highest standards and carefully inspected prior to shipment. This warranty is a statement of our confidence in the materials and workmanship of our products and our assurance to the consumer of years of reliable service.
This warranty does not cover device failure due to owner misuse or negligence, or normal wear and tear. The warranty does not extend to non-durable components, such as casters, rubber accessories and grips, which are subject to normal wear and require periodic replacement.
