As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. HOW TO USE

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

WARNING: Ensure the multi-pan is unplugged from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool before handling or cleaning it.

WARNING: Do not touch hot surfaces. Always use the handles of the product. Use protective oven mitts or gloves to avoid burns or serious personal injury.

NOTE: Never use metal utensils such as forks, knives, mashers, beaters, or food choppers with this product, as they will scratch the non-stick surface. Only use plastic, rubber, wooden, or silicone cooking utensils.

  1. Attach the temperature control dial to the socket by aligning the electrical pins in the socket with the electrical pinholes in the temperature control dial, and then slide the dial into position on the base. When ready to use, lightly coat the entire cooking surface with cooking oil or shortening and wipe with a paper towel.
Repeat as necessary for a longer-lasting non-stick surface.

  2. Plug the power cord into a standard 120-volt AC electrical outlet.

  3. Place the product on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.

  4. Set the temperature control dial to the desired cooking temperature. The LED indicator will illuminate, indicating the product is heating.

  5. When the LED indicator turns off, the product has reached the selected
temperature. Place food on the multi-pan.
NOTICE: Do not cook foods at a higher temperature, as cooking at high
temperatures may cause discoloration or shorten the life of the non-stick surface.
NOTE: Due to the initial heating of the materials used in the manufacturing of the product, some light smoke/vapors may be released when used for the first time.
    This is normal.

  6. Once cooking is complete, set the temperature control dial to the “OFF” position and then unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.

  7. To detach the temperature control dial, firmly pull away from the female
    connector.
WARNING: Always unplug the product when not in use or when it will be left unattended
CAUTION: Use extreme caution when moving/handling the product when it is hot. Rinse with hot water and thoroughly dry.

  8. Ensure the socket and electrical pins are completely dry before storing or resuming use.

  9. If cleaning the temperature control dial is necessary, wipe with a soft, damp cloth sponge and dry thoroughly.
NOTE: Do not immerse the appliance in water or place temperature control dial in a dishwasher.

TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

  1. Before each use, ensure the handles are securely attached and retighten, as necessary.
  2. Never cut anything in the cookware or use utensils with sharp edges as to avoid piercing the non-stick surface.
  3. Never heat an empty utensil. Be sure there is oil, butter, liquid or food before using the multi-pan.
  4. For better non-stick performance, it is recommended to add a teaspoon of cooking oil prior to each use.
  5. Never put cold water on a hot utensil. Sudden changes of temperature may cause metal to warp, resulting in an uneven bottom.
  6. Never use metal scouring pads to clean the non-stick surface.
  7. Let cookware cool down on its own or place in lukewarm soapy water.
  8. Store the product in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION: After use, do not pour cold water onto the product, as the sudden temperature change may damage the product or create a burn hazard.
NOTE: Do not place the multi-pan or cord in a dishwasher.
NOTE: Do not use bleach or abrasive cleansers/scouring pads to clean the product, as they may damage the non-stick finish.

  4. Rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly.

  5. Ensure the socket and electrical pins are completely dry before storing or resuming use.

  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp (1 ml) salt
  • 1-½ cup (375 ml) whole milk or regular milk

  5. Serve crepes warm with fresh fruit and powdered sugar.

TORTILLAS

TORTILLAS

FUNCTIONS: Medium heat (300˚F)
SERVINGS: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (500 ml) all-purpose flour, plus more for surface
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) salt
  •  ½ tsp (2.5 ml) baking powder
  • ²/³ cup (170 ml) warm water (about 100°F)
  • ¼ cup (65 ml) cold lard, rendered bacon fat or vegetable shortening, cut into small pieces

Preparation:

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, salt, and baking powder. Using fingertips, rub lard into flour mixture until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Gently stir warm water into flour mixture until shaggy dough forms. Turn out onto floured surface and knead until smooth, about 2 minutes. Divide dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each portion into a ball. Cover balls with plastic and let rest 20 minutes.
  3. Heat the multi-pan at medium heat.
  4. On a floured surface, using a rolling pin, roll one ball into a 9″ round. Transfer round to preheated multi-pan and cook until dough bubbles and golden spots develops on the bottom, about 40 seconds. Flip tortilla and cook until second side develops golden spots. Transfer to a plate and cover with a clean dish towel to keep warm.
  5. Repeat with remaining dough, adjusting the heat if necessary

NAAN BREAD

NAAN BREAD

FUNCTIONS: Medium heat (400˚F)
SERVINGS: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (500 ml) all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp (15 ml) sugar
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) instant dry yeast/rapid-rise yeast
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) salt
  • ½ tsp (2.5 ml) anise seeds (optional)
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • ¾ cup (190 ml) warm water (about 100°F)
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) melted salted butter, for brushing on finished naan
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) chopped fresh Italian parsley (optional), for serving

Preparation:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, yeast, salt and anise seeds (if using). Set aside.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together, the yogurt, olive oil, and ¾ cup (190 ml) warm water (about 100°F). Add the yogurt mixture to the dry ingredients and mix with a fork. When the dough is about to come together, dust your hands with flour and knead gently into a soft, slightly sticky dough (sprinkle more flour, little by little, if the dough is too wet to work with). As soon as it comes together, stop kneading

  3. Lightly oil or  spray a clean bowl with non-stick cooking spray (the bowl should be large enough to allow the dough to double in size). Transfer the dough to the prepared bowl and cover with plastic wrap or a damp kitchen towel. Let sit in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until about doubled in size (hint: the warmer the spot, the faster the dough will rise).

  4. Heat the multi-pan at medium-high heat until very hot.

  5. Using a rolling pin, roll one of the dough balls into an oval shape about 1/8-inch thick (it should be about 9 x 4 inches). Pick up the dough and flip-flop it back and forth between your hands to release any excess flour; then gently lay the dough in the preheat multi-pan and cook until the top is bursting with air bubbles and the bottom is golden and blackened in spots, a few minutes. Flip the naan and cook about 1-2 minutes more until the bottom is lightly browned and blistered in spots.
Remove the naan from the multi-pan and brush with melted butter.

  6. Place the naan in a tea towel-lined dish to keep warm.

  7. Repeat with the remaining naan, adjusting the heat lower if necessary.

  8. Sprinkle with parsley, if using, and serve warm.
