  • M. Always use the processor on a flat, level and stable surface. DO NOT move the chopper while it is in use.

  • N. The blades are sharp, must handle with care.

  • O. Make sure the blade and the bowl are securely placed before locking the lid into the base.

  • P. DO NOT attempt to remove the bowl from the base while in use.

  • Q. DO NOT operate the appliance for more than 1 minute continuously. Allow the appliance to rest 3 minutes between each use.

  • R. DO NOT operate the processor if empty.

  • S. DO NOT operate with hot food, always allow food to cool down

  • T. To avoid injuries, do not place the blade assembly directly on the motorized base. Always place the cup and blade assembly onto the motorized base.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

POLARIZED PLUG: This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this feature or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm, DO NOT use that outlet.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

AN EXTENSION CORD MAY BE USED IF CARE IS EXERCISED IN THEIR USE:

  • Minimize the risk of overheating by using the shortest UL or ETL listed cord possible.
  • The marked electrical rating must be at least as great as that of the product.
  • Never use a single extension cord to operate more than one appliance.
  • Arrange the longer cord so that it will not drape over a countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped over, snagged, or pulled on unintentionally (especially by children).
  • DO NOT alter the plug. DO NOT attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.

BEFORE INITIAL USE

WARNING: Blades are sharp, handle with care. DO NOT plug the appliance into an electrical outlet before it’s ready to be used.
WARNING: For safety purposes, always place blade before putting food.

NOTE: Remove all parts & accessories and dispose of packaging.

  1. Turn clockwise to unlock the lid from the processor bowl then carefully pull upward to remove the measuring scoop.

  2. Turn counterclockwise and lift to remove the blade from the processor bowl.

  3. Turn clockwise to remove and unlock the processor bowl from the motorized base.

  4. Wash all removable parts & accessories in hot soapy water and dry thoroughly or place in the dishwasher.
    NOTE: DO NOT immerse the motorized base or the power cord in water or any other liquids.
    WARNING: The blade is very sharp, so be careful when removing the blade and cleaning!

  5. Wipe the motorized base with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

  6. Place back the bowl onto the motorized base and lock it by rotating counterclockwise. Insert the blade into the bowl post and ensure it is correctly settled. Ensure the lid is securely in place on the bowl by turning counterclockwise. Place back the scoop on the lid.

SPEED CONTROL (Refer to Fig. 1)

  • Flick switch upward to “ | ” for Low Speed.
    TIP: Use Low Speed to obtain a thick, chunky texture.

  • Press and HOLD switch by pressing downwards to “   ” for High Speed.
    TIP: Use High Speed longer for a creamy, smooth texture.

  • Tap switch to “   ” for Pulse

  • Leave switch at “   ” for OFF.

NOTE: The recommended maximum operating time for each speed is 1 minute consecutive. Allow 3 minutes rest in between operations.
NOTE: To stop the appliance, move switch to “   ”.

BLADE ASSEMBLY

WARNING: The blade is sharp, please handle with care.

  • Lock in the container to the base.
  • Place blade onto the pillar firmly.
  • Lock in the lid for the appliance to be functional.

SPOON ASSEMBLY AND USE

  • Carefully lift the handle of the spoon to unclip from lid or, gently press on the clip from underneath the lid to release spoon.

HOW TO USE

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

WARNING: For safety purposes, always place blade before putting food.

  1. Align the tabs on the processor bowl with the L-slots on the motorize base. Turn the processor bowl counterclockwise to lock onto the base.

  2. Place the blade over the shaft in the center of the processor bowl and press down and twist clockwise to securely lock into operating position.

  3. Place the desired ingredients in the processor bowl.
    NOTE: Cut the fruits/vegetables into small pieces.
    NOTE: To achieve optimal results when grinding raw meat, use the continuous button to grind up to 200 g of meat at a time.

  4. Lock the lid on the processor bowl, aligning the L-Slots on the lid with the tabs on the processor bowl. Turn the lid counterclockwise to securely lock onto the bowl.
    CAUTION: The appliance has a locking mechanism that prevents the appliance from operating or blade from turning if the lid is not securely attached to the base.

  5. Plug the appliance into a standard 120-volt AC electrical outlet.

  6. Select the desired speed control. Press lever downwards for PULSE “   ”, short bursts used for processing ice, fruits or frozen vegetables. For continuous processing, lift the lever to “ | ” for LOW speed or hold lever at “   ” for HIGH speed to obtain the desired texture (lever will return to “  ” position automatically once “  ” is released).
    WARNING: The recommended maximum operating time for each speed is 1 minute consecutive. Allow 3 minutes rest in between operations.

  7. Use the wet ingredient adder located under the spoon to add liquid ingredients while processing, if desired.

  8. When the ingredients are processed to the desired consistency, turn off the appliance, “  ”.

  9. Once the stainless-steel blade has stopped turning, remove the lid from the processor bowl by turning clockwise and lifting off.

  10. Remove the blade from the processor bowl by turning counterclockwise and lifting it off.

  11. Remove the bowl from the base by turning it clockwise and lifting it. Pour the mixture in a bowl or use it as you want in your recipe.

  12. Clean parts and accessories immediately after each use.

PROCESSING GUIDE

FOOD

Bread for crumbs| Process. Pulse to break up, then process continuously until desired crumb size is reached.| Use day-old, hard bread for dry crumbs, fresh bread for moist crumbs. Cut or break into pieces no larger than 1 inch. For buttered crumbs, add 1 teaspoon of melted butter per slice after crumbs have started to form, and process to combine and coat
Fruits cooked; fresh or frozen thawed berries| Process. Pulse to break up, then process continuously until desired consistency.| Cooked fruits may be processed to make baby foods or purées; liquid may be added for consistency.
To process fresh or frozen thawed berries for sauce, pulse to chop, then process until puréed (sugar may be added to taste).
Garlic| Process. Pulse to desired consistency.| Peel garlic cloves first. Scrape work bowl sides and bottom as needed.
Nuts| Process. Pulse to chop to desired consistency.| Toast nuts first for maximum flavor. Allow to cool completely before chopping. Up to 1/2 cup.
Onions| Process. Pulse 5-10 times to process to desired size.| Peel; cut into 3/4 inch or smaller pieces of similar size.
Vegetables cooked| Process. Pulse 5-10 times to chop, then process continuously until desired consistency is reached.| Cook vegetables until tender.
Process to a smooth purée for baby food or sauces; may need to add liquid for consistency.
Meat| Process. Pulse to desired result| Diced meat, no more than 200 9 at a time.

TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

NOTE: For best results read the following tips:

  • DO NOT overfill the processor bowl.
  • DO NOT attempt to process firm food such as cheese or coffee beans or mixing dough.
  • DO NOT process hot food or liquids.
  • Cut fruits and vegetables into small pieces.
  • Place ingredients in the following order: Liquids, frozen ingredients, fresh ingredients.
  • For liquid ingredients, fill container with a maximum volume of ¾ cup.
  • If the blade stops spinning, unplug the appliance immediately. Mix the food in the bowl. If the blade is still obstructed add some liquid or reduce the solid food.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING: Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the electrical outlet and the blade has stopped turning before handling or cleaning the appliance.

  1. Disassemble all parts & accessories.

  2. Wash in soapy, hot water or place in the top rack of the dishwasher. Wash after each use.
    NOTE: DO NOT place the motorized base or cord in a dishwasher.

  3. Dry all the parts & accessories thoroughly.

  4. Wipe the motorized base with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

  5. Reassemble the processor for compact storage.

  6. For safe storage, always store the blade in the bowl.

WARNING: Blades are sharp handle with care while cleaning. Use a brush to clean the blades to avoid injuries. DO NOT touch blades with bare hands.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY.
This warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) yearfrom the date of the original purchase. Please retain your original receipt as a proof of the purchase date. Any complaints must be registered within the warranty period. The product will be repaired, replaced (parts or entire appliance) or refunded at our sole discretion. Shipping charges may apply.

This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following:

Negligent use or misuse of the product including failure to clean the product regularly, use for commercial purposes, accident, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or altercation by anyone other than a STARFRIT authorized service agent.

Stains, discoloration and minor scratches on the inside and outside of the utensil constitute normal use, do not affect performance, and are not covered by this warranty.

Decisions as to the cause of damage are the responsibility of STARFRIT. All decisions will be final.

RECIPES

VEGAN PESTO

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups of fresh basil
  • 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup of pine nuts
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • Salt and Black Pepper to liking

PREPARATION:

  1. Add basil, pine nuts and garlic to the processor. Pulse 4-5 times.

  2. Add ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil.
    Add or reduce quantity to desired consistency.

  3. Place mixture into the pesto container.

  4. Mix in salt and black pepper to liking.

For Non Vegan, add grated 3 oz Parmesan or Romano cheese.

CHIMICHURRI

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup of fresh parsley
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 3 small hot chilli pepper
  • 10 g of fresh oregano
  • 2.5 oz of red wine vinegar or lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to liking

PREPARATION:

  1. Introduce parsley, garlic, hot chilli pepper and oregano into processor bowl. Pulse to preferred consistency.
  2. Place Chimichurri into container.
  3. Mix in extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar (or lemon juice).
  4. Add salt and pepper to liking.

Use to marinate meats (e.g., Chicken Breast for Pan Frying or Baking) or topping for steak before serving).
