The ceramic coated cooking pot is designed for use with this appliance only. It must NEVER be used on a stovetop, range top, hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven. It may warp and result in injuries. To avoid serious injuries, ALWAYS cook inside the removable ceramic coated cooking pot.

ALWAYS make sure the outside of the ceramic coated cooking pot is dry prior to use. If the pot is returned to the appliance when wet, it may damage or cause the appliance to malfunction.

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
POLARIZED PLUG: This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical
shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this feature or
modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if
the AC outlet feels warm,
DO NOT use that outlet.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk
of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
AN EXTENSION CORD MAY BE USED IF CARE IS EXERCISED IN THEIR USE:
- Minimize the risk of overheating by using the shortest UL or ETL listed cord possible.
- The marked electrical rating must be at least as great as that of the appliance.

Main Housing
BEFORE INITIAL USE
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove and discard any packaging, sticker, or promotional labels/materials before first use.
- Remove the glass lid using the lid handle, the ceramic coated cooking pot, the steamer basket and wash in hot soapy water with all other accessories. Dry thoroughly. WARNING: DO NOT immerse body, electrical cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Wipe body with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Reassemble the appliance.
- NOTE: Dry the exterior of the ceramic-coated cooking pot before placing into the rice cooker.
- NOTE: During first use of the appliance, smoke or light vapors may occur from the appliance because of the initial warming process of the materials. This is normal and will quickly disappear.
HOW TO USE
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
- NOTE: ALWAYS use plastic, rubber, wooden, or silicone cooking utensils inside the ceramic coated cooking pot to avoid scratching the cookware.
- NOTE: DO NOT operate the appliance directly under kitchen cabinets. Provide adequate space above and around the appliance for air circulation.
- NOTE: Ensure the lid is tightly closed before operating.
- NOTE: ALWAYS rinse rice before cooking.
- NOTE: It is recommended to let the rice steam for 15 minutes then use the serving spoon to mix the rice up.
- Place appliance on a flat, stable, heat resistant surface.
- Remove the lid.
- Remove the ceramic coated cooking pot.
- Add desired quantity and type of rice/grains.
- Rinse rice 2–3 times to remove excess starch.
- Add amount of water required for respective quantity of rice/grains.(Refer to COOKING CHART below)
- Place ceramic coated cooking pot into the rice cooker main housing.
- Close the lid.
- Plug the power cord into a 120 V AC wall outlet.
- Press the COOK/WARM button to start cooking.
- Once function is completed, appliance enters WARM Mode.
- Unplug the rice cooker to stop the WARM Mode or when not in use.

- This cooking chart is for reference only. Water level may vary for texture preferences.
- Measurement tailored to provided cup size of 180 ml.
- When cooking brown rice, be mindful of the additional water required. Please DO NOT cook more than 3 cups of uncooked brown rice to give enough room for the water. Refer to Chart for Water Level.
- When cooking brown rice, big bubbles will form and escape through the vent when the starchy water is boiling, this is normal.
STEAM COOK WHILE COOKING RICE (WHITE RICE)
WARNING: When cooking rice and steaming it is important to not exceed 1.5 cups
of rice in order to give enough room for the rice to expand. When only
steaming, make sure there is enough water for the required steaming duration.
WARNING: When steaming proteins, make sure the internal temperature meets the
food-safe temperature requirements (e.g., poultry requires internal
temperature to reach 165 °F). NOTE: The required steam duration depends on the
quantity of added ingredients and the size that they are cut into. (The
smaller the cuts the faster it will cook)
- Place appliance on a flat, stable, heat resistant surface.
- Remove the lid.
- Remove the ceramic coated cooking pot.
- Put desired cups of rice into ceramic coated cooking pot (without exceeding 1.5 cups).
- Rinse rice 2–3 times to remove excess starch.
- Fill water level until it reaches the required cup marking.
- Place ceramic coated cooking pot into the rice cooker main housing.
- Place steamer basket into the ceramic coated cooking pot.
- Place ingredients for steaming onto the steamer basket.
- Close the lid.
- Press the COOK/WARM button to start cooking.
- Once cooking function is completed, appliance enters WARM Mode.
- Unplug the rice cooker to stop the WARM Mode or when not in use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
WARNING: Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the electrical outlet and
allow it to cool down completely before handling or cleaning it.
WARNING: NEVER put cold water into a hot ceramic coated cooking pot. Sudden
changes of temperature may cause metal to warp, resulting in an uneven bottom.

Unplug appliance from outlet.

Remove glass lid and ceramic coated cooking pot.
-
Wash in hot soapy water together with the serving spoon, steamer basket and
rice measuring cup. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wash after each use.
WARNING: DO NOT immerse body, electrical cord or plug in water or any other liquid. NOTE: Not recommended to use dishwasher as the harsh conditions may cause accelerated wear.
NOTE: DO NOT use abrasive pads to clean the ceramic coated cooking pot as it may damage the non-stick ceramic coating. -
Wipe rice cooker body with a damp cloth

Stack all parts back into the rice cooker main housing for optimal space saving.
Maintenance

Store the appliance in a cool, dry place.
NEVER cut anything in the cookware or use utensils with sharp edges as to avoid piercing the non-stick surface. -
NEVER put cold water into a hot ceramic coated cooking pot. Sudden changes of temperature may cause metal to warp, resulting in an uneven bottom. Let cookware cool down on its own or place in lukewarm soapy water.

ALWAYS use trivets or oven mitts when handling the pot.

DO NOT place the ceramic coated cooking pot on the countertop, as it will stain or burn the countertop. Use a protective trivet.

DO NOT place the pot on any range top burner, under a broiler, microwave browning element, or in a heated oven.

DO NOT use metal utensils with this appliance. Use the provided rice measure (or recommended utensil) to prevent chipping of the ceramic coated cooking pot.

DO NOT use scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, or any object that will scratch the cookware
or accessories. -
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

This warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship for a period of
one (1) year from the date of the original purchase. Please retain your
original receipt as a proof of the purchase date. Any complaints must be
registered within the warranty period. The appliance will be repaired,
replaced (parts or entire appliance) or refunded at our sole discretion.
Shipping charges may apply.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any
of the following:
Negligent use or misuse of the appliance including failure to clean the
appliance regularly, use for commercial purposes, accident, use on improper
voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly,
repair or altercation by anyone other than a STARFRIT authorized service
agent.
Stains, discoloration and minor scratches on the inside and outside of the
utensil constitute normal use, DO NOT affect performance, and are not covered
by this warranty.
Decisions as to the cause of damage are the responsibility of STARFRIT. All
decisions will be final.
RECIPES
STEAMED SALMON ON RICE
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 pounds fresh Salmon Filets or Steaks
- 3-4 pieces Baby Bok Choys
- 1-2 Broccoli Stem
- 2 tbsp Grated fresh ginger
- 3 Green onion (minced)
- 1 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Rice wine (Sake)
- 1.5 cups of white rice
- Lemon wedges for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Wash and rinse 1.5 cups of rice
- Fill water to 1.5-Cup marking
- Coat Filet with grated ginger and minced green onion
- Mix Soy Sauce and Rice Wine
- Pour mixture onto the coated filet to marinate (10 minutes)
- Wash Bok Choys and broccoli while marinating
- Place Filet and vegetables on steamer
- Start Rice Cooker
QUINOA BREAKFAST BOWL
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup Quinoa
- 2 cups Water
- ¾ cup Almond Mil
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- ½ cup Blueberry
- ½ cup Raspberry
DIRECTIONS
- Rinse 1 cup of Quinoa
- Add 2 cups of Water and 1 tbsp of Vanilla Extract
- Start Rice Cooker
- Put 1 cup of Cooked Quinoa in a bowl
- Add ¾ cup of Almond Milk
- Garnish with Blueberries and Raspberries
- Serve
