Installing the indoor and outdoor units
Install the doorbell
1. Remove the cover from the battery
2. Insert 2 x 1.5 V AA batteries (not included) in the battery compartment.
checking that the polarity of t he batteries is correct(+/-).
Use of the product
Once you have fitted the batteries to your indoor unit, there are just a few
more steps before your new doorbell is working.
1. Once the battery is in position, the receiver makes a “Ding Dong” sound to
inform you that it has gone into pairing mode.
You then have two minutes to synchronize the two units.
2. Then press the transmitter button.
3. If you hear a “Ding Dong” it means that the pairing process was
successful.
4. Select the volume and tune of your choice, and press the button again to
save your selection.
Indoor unit (chime)
1. Drill a hole in the wall at the desired height.
2. Then insert a wall plug (included) into the hole.
3. Then, insert a screw (included) into the wall plug.
4. You can then hang the receiver.
NOTE: The screw must not be completely inserted into the wall. You must
retain sufficient length from the surface to hold the receiver (chime).
Changing the tune and the volume
If you want to change the tune and volume of your doorbell, simply press
the appropriate buttons (see diagram) and press the button again to confirm
your new selection.
Choose the mode which suits you
You can adjust the mode according to your needs by pressing the volume
button. There are 4 options to choose from: High, medium, or low volume, and
mute with flash.
Synchronize several devices
The process to synchronize a second pushbutton is exactly the same as the
method explained above. You can connect up to eight pushbuttons to one
doorbell.
Once you add a ninth, the first one that was connected to your doorbell will
automatically desynchronize.
NOTE: A pushbutton can be connected to as many doorbells as you wish.
Resetting the unit
If you want to delete your pairing, open the outdoor unit and press the smal button when the receiver is in pairing mode. You will then hear a double “Ding Dong”‘: This means that synchronization was successful
Linking the doorbell with a DiO 1.0 device
This product is compatible with all DiO 1.0 devices: pushbutton, remote
control, switches, wireless detectors … This means that you can personalise
your DiO installation according to your needs. For example, when someone rings
your doorbell when you are out, your floor lamp, which you have synchronised
with our DiO Connect sockets, will immediately light up to create a simulated
presence.
