Vide tutorial
We have produced a series of video tutorials to make it easier to understand and install our solutions. You can view them on our Youtube.com/c/dio- connected-home channel, in the Playlists tab. You can also view them through our website www.chacon.com in the Support tab.
Changing the battery in your remote control
- Insert a 3mm flat head screwdriver into the small slot just above the battery compartment and pull the cover down to open the compartment.
- Using a small screwdriver, push the battery toward the outside.
- Replace the old battery with a new 3V CR2032 battery.
Warning: Risk of explosion if the battery is not replaced correctly. Replace only with the same type or an equivalent type.
Linking the remote control with a DiO 1.0 module, socket or bulb
This product is compatible with all DiO 1.0 and DiO Connect peripherals operating under the DiO 433MHz radio protocol, as well as with the DiO home automation control unit, to control it with a smartphone or by voice (via a Google Home or Amazon Alexa smart speaker).
Linking the remote control with the receiver
- Connect the receiver (module, socket, bulb).
- Bring the remote control close to the DiO 1.0 receiver and press the receiver learn button (see receiver manual); the receiver LED flashes.
- Press the ‘I’ button on the remote control to link them. 4. The lamp connected to the module/socket flashes twice to confirm the link and the LED stops flashing.
Deleting the link between the remote control and a DiO receiver
If the remote control memory is full or if you want to delete a receiver:
- Bring the remote control close to the receiver to be deleted and press the receiver learn button (socket, module, doorbell, bulb — see product manual); the receiver LED flashes.
- Press the OFF’ (0) button of the remote control to be deleted; the lamp flashes twice to confirm the deletion and the LED of the receiver stops flashing.
Use
Individual control (channel 1, 2, 3):
ON/OFF : Press the ‘I’ button of the remote control once to turn your
light, device, roller shutter, etc. on, or the ‘0’ button once to turn it off.
Dimmer (only with a dimmer module, socket or bulb): Press the ‘I’ button
of the remote control twice; the brightness starts to increase/decrease; press
‘I’ again to stop the increase/decrease. When you turn off the light with the
‘0’ button, the last brightness level selected will be retained in the
receiver memory.
Group function: Press the ‘I’ or ‘0’ button on channel G to turn on/off all the lamps or devices registered on the remote control (on channels 1 to 3).
DiO 1.0 receivers (lighting module, shutter module, socket, bulb, etc.) can be controlled individually or in conjunction with other receivers (e.g.: a DiO switch closes the shutter linked to a DiO shutter module and at the same time turns on the lamp connected to the lighting module, and the DiO remote control turns the lamp on and off individually).
Troubleshooting
The receiver is not activated when the remote control is pressed:
- Check the polarity of the battery and/or that it is not flat.
- Make sure that the remote control is linked to the receiver and that the receiver is connected correctly.
- Check the status of the receiver memory (see receiver manual).
Important: The range between the receiver and the remote control is 50 m,
but this may be reduced by the thickness of the walls or a currently wireless
environment. A minimum distance of 1-2 m is necessary between two DiO
receivers (module, socket and/or bulb).
Do not use in a damp location.
