SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

  • Step 1: Find a suitable area to set up the Tripod. Ensure the ground is firm and level. Sloping ground or uneven surfaces will cause instability. This instability could cause the tripod to tilt or shift as you ascend or descend the ladder.
  • Step 2: Lay the assembled unit on its side, rungs facing up, with the foot platform resting on a box or table capable of holding the weight of the unit. This will prevent excess stress on the leg sections and cross braces.
  • Step 3: Have four (4) able adults help with standing the Tripod up. Position one holding the ladder section. Have two more on each leg column and have the final helper at the platform. Slowly walk the Tripod into position. Ensure the platform is level (Figure 25)
  • Step 4: Insert the ground stakes into each leg section as shown in (Figure 26)GUIDE-GEAR-718070-4x4-6'-Tripod-Tower-&-Blind-fig-17
  • Step 5: Put the blind on the platform, remove the blind from the carry bag
  • Step 6: Grasp the webbing loop sewn onto the eyelet located in the center of the roof panel and pull outward until the top section pops open.
  • Step 7: Locate webbing handles on the side walls and begin to engage each hub by pulling firmly on the webbing handles.
  • Step 8: When all three sidewall hubs are engaged, put the blind to the outside of the platform shooting rail.
  • Step 9: After attaching all velcro to the shooting rail and platform, the tower/blind is ready for use.
  • Step 10: Reverse setup & use instructions to take the tower/blind down

Complete the following before each and every use

  • Inspect all webbing, rope, cord, and strap assemblies for wear or damage.
  • Inspect for any structural damage to the product. (If any exists stop use immediately and contact the manufacturer at 844-688-0690 or email [email protected])

  • Inspect for any structural damage OR missing parts. Pay close attention to any/all weld and joint locations. (Return to factory for repair or discard the product if any damage is found.)
  • Inspect the seat, armrest, and padded shooting rest for damage or wear. Replace any seat, armrest, or shooting rail pads if found damaged or worn with new ones from the manufacturer.

Complete the following checklist at least once per year

  • Inspect and check the operation of all cord, rope, webbing, and strap assemblies. Replace with the manufacturer’s original replacement parts any item or assembly that shows signs of wear, damage, kinking, or functions incorrectly.
  • Lubricate all pivot and slide-together points with powder graphite to help prevent noise, wear, and rust.
  • Inspect the entire product for any rust, corrosion, cracks, freezing, excessive heat, or rotting that may effect the safety of your product. Discard or replace any questionable product.

Return to the factory or discard the product if any damage is found that could weaken the structural integrity of the stand and/or cause potential harm to the user.

WARNING

  • ALWAYS read and understand the manufacturer’s WARNINGS & INSTRUCTIONS before using the tree stand each season. Use all safety devices provided with your tree stand. Never exceed the weight limit specified by the manufacturer. If you have any questions after reviewing the WARNINGS & INSTRUCTIONS, please contact the manufacturer.
  • ALWAYS inspect the tree stand for signs of wear or damage before each use.
  • ALWAYS carry emergency signal devices such as a cell phone, walkie-talkie, whistle, signal flare, PLD (personal locator device), and flashlight on your person at all times.
  • ALWAYS hunt with a plan and if possible a buddy. Always Let others know your tree stand location(s).
  • ALWAYS use a haul line to raise your backpack, gear, unloaded firearm or bow to your tree stand once you have reached the stand platform. Never climb with anything in your hands or on your back. Prior to descending, lower your equipment on the side of the tree opposite of your descent route. ALWAYS know your physical limitations. Don’t take chances. If you start thinking about how high you are, don’t go any higher.
  • NEVER use homemade or permanently elevated stands or make modifications to a purchased tree stand without the manufacturer’s written permission.
  • ALWAYS wear the appropriate footwear when using a ladder treestand. A good non-slip safety boot is important to your personal safety. Be especially careful that boot laces do not get hooked on the stand or any of its components (tuck shoelaces into boots before climbing).
  • NEVER use a treestand during inclement weather such as rain, lightning, windstorms or icy conditions and end your hunt and return to the ground if inclement conditions arise
  • NEVER use a treestand while using drugs (even prescription drugs) or alcohol.

  • Check every ladder section connection every time you use the stand before you leave the ground. If ladder sections are separating, do not use the stand
  • Check the ground under the stand to make sure it is firm and level. Sloping ground or uneven surface (one side on a rock) can cause your ladder to tilt or shift off the tree as you climb.
