Labkotec LCJ1 Series Cable Connectors
Product Information
The Cable Connectors LCJ1-1, LCJ1-2, and LCJ1-3 are designed to extend sensor cables in potentially explosive atmospheres, particularly when used with oil separator alarm devices. The product consists of the following.
- LCJ1-1: Cable connector for one sensor
- LCJ1-2 : Cable connector for two sensors
- LCJ1-3 : Cable connector for three sensors
The LCJ1-1 is used to extend an unshielded two-wire sensor cable to one unshielded two-wire extension cable. The LCJ1-2 is used to extend two unshielded two-wire sensor cables to one unshielded two-wire extension cable. The LCJ1-3 is used to extend three unshielded two-wire sensor cables to one unshielded two-wire extension cable.
Product Usage Instructions
Follow the steps below for the proper usage of the Cable Connectors LCJ1-1, LCJ1-2, and LCJ1-3
- Before use, read the operating instructions provided in the user manual.
- Check the packaging and contents for any damage during delivery, transport, and storage.
- Ensure that all parts are present and correct according to the order and shipping documents.
- Note the permitted storage temperature as specified in the technical specifications.
- Refer to the detailed connection diagrams available in the operating instructions of sensors and control units for mounting and installation.
- Important : Despite having a protection rating of IP68, it is recommended to fill the inside of the cable connector with gel or resin to prevent condensation formation under conditions of high humidity and large temperature fluctuations.
- Do not attempt to repair, change, or manipulate the devices. In case of a defect, always replace the product with an original part.
- Dispose of the devices, packaging material, and any batteries in compliance with the applicable laws and guidelines of your country.

GENERAL
This manual is part of the product.

SAFETY
The operator of the system is responsible in terms of planning, mounting,
commissioning, operating, maintenance and dismounting.
Assembly, commissioning, operation, maintenance and dismounting of any devices
may only be carried out by trained, qualified personnel who have read and
understood the operating instructions.
Laws, standards, or directives applicable to the intended use must be
observed. In relation to explosive areas, Directive 2014/34/EU must be
observed.
The devices are only approved for appropriate and intended use. Ignoring these
operating instructions will void any warranty and absolve the manufacturer
from any liability.
The devices must only be operated in the ambient temperature range specified.
DELIVERY, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
Check the packaging and contents for damage.
Check that the parts are all present and correct with respect to the order and
shipping documents.
Note the permitted storage temperature in technical specifications.

INTENDED USE
Cable connectors LCJ1-1, LCJ1-2 and LCJ1-3 are designed to extend sensor
cables in potentially explosive atmospheres, especially together with oil
separator alarm devices.

- LCJ1-1 is designed to extend an unshielded two-wire sensor cable to one unshielded two-wire extension cable.
- LCJ1-2 is designed to extend two unshielded two-wire sensor cables to one unshielded two-wire extension cable.
- LCJ1-3 is designed to extend three unshielded two-wire sensor cables to one unshielded two-wire extension cable.
MOUNTING AND INSTALLATION
Detailed connection diagrams are available in the operating instructions of
sensors and control units.
NOTE! Despite degree of protection IP68, condensation can form in the device
under conditions of high humidity and large temperature fluctuations. We
therefore recommend that the inside of the cable connector be filled with gel
or resin.
REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
The devices may not be repaired, changed or manipulated. If there is a defect,
the product must always be replaced with an original part.
DISPOSAL
Devices, packaging material, and possibly contained batteries must be disposed
of in compliance with the applicable laws and guidelines of the corresponding
country.
