Using Instructions

PAIRING EARBUDS TO THE BTD BLUETOOTH RADIO ADAPTER

  1. Attach the Bluetooth radio adapter to the radio. Hold down on the pairing button on the radio adapter and turn radio on at the same time. Keep pressing adapter till the LED flashes blue/red then release. Put your earbuds in pairing mode. When LED on the adapter appears Blue, pairing is complete. Turn radio and earbuds off.
  2. Pairing BTR remote button to the adapter. Press and hold the paring button on the radio adapter and turn radio on at the same time. Keep pressing until the LED flashes blue/red release then press again to change the pairing pattern then release. On the BTR remote button, press and hold the PTT button until the LED flashes blue/red then release. When LED turns blue on both units pairing is complete. Now power up the earbuds. Wait until everything is linked. Now you can press on the BTR remote button to activate the earbuds.

NOTES:

  • Earbuds can be activated from the pairing button on the BTD radio adapter as well.
  • If the BTR buttons does not power up during pairing, let charge for about ten minute then try again.
  • For all day use, BTR remote button should charge for about 3.5 hours.
  • When Bluetooth slide switch is in the off position no Bluetooth device can be used. This is effective if you want to use the radio with no microphone attached (see backside for instructions). In this state you can transmit and receive through the radio.
  • Leave the Bluetooth switch on to use the Wireless PTT unit.

Connection Instructions

  1. Make sure the Bluetooth microphones are off.
  2. Hold the microphone cable above the arrow alignment mark.
  3. Align with arrow on the adapter then click into place.
  4. To remove, pull up on the spring-loaded cylindrical metal below the arrow on the cable.

Note: Not compatible with Motorola Radios using Built-In Bluetooth.

Note: When Bluetooth slide switch is in the off position no Bluetooth device can be used. This is effective if you want to use the radio with no microphone attached. In this state you can transmit and receive through the radio.

Leave the Bluetooth switch on to use the Wireless PTT unit.

Your Sales Receipt is required to validate & obtain warranty services. Your Nighthawk is warranted against internal defects in material or workmanship. All of our earphones are warranted for 12 months. Hygiene restrictions prevent us from extending our limited warranty to wearable parts such as: Fin Ultra ear tips, earmolds, clear tubes & ear inserts.
The warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and does not cover the following:

  • Physical abuse
  • Improper maintenance of unit
  • Damage from tugging or pulling
  • Frayed, torn or exposed wires
  • Crushing or smashing in any way, shape or form General misuse of the item such as: Excessive voltage, tampering with the unit or repairs attempted by someone other than the manufacturer will void the MANUFACTURER’S LIMITED WARRANTY.

The manufacturer reserves the right to evaluate & refuse warranty based on their evaluation. In order to obtain warranty services, proof of purchase must be returned along with the product.
