Getting started
Note – Mains voltage 100 – 240 V
The charger is suitable for a mains voltage of 100-240 V and can be used
around the world. Please note that a country-specific adapter may be
necessary.
Warning – Connecting terminal devices
- Before connecting a terminal device, check whether the power output of the charger can supply sufficient power for the device.
- Ensure that the total power of all connected terminal devices does not exceed 12W (USB-A).
- Please refer to the instructions in the operating manual of your terminal device.
- Note that simultaneous charging of two devices will cut the charging current in half and the charging time for the devices will therefore be twice as long.
Warning
- Only connect the product to a socket that has been approved for the device. The socket must be installed close to the product and easily accessible.
- Disconnect the product from the network using the power button – if this is not available, unplug the power cord from the socket.
- When using a multi-socket power strip, make sure that the sum power draw of all the connected devices does not exceed its maximum throughput rating.
- If you will not be using the product for a long period of time, disconnect it from mains power.
Note
The charger is suitable for a mains voltage of 230 V.
- Please refer to the instructions in the operating manual of your terminal device.
- Check the mechanical compatibility between the charger, connection cable and terminal device before plugging it in.
- Connect the terminal device to be charged to the charger. The device should be switched off.
- Plug the charger into a power outlet.
- The terminal device will charge when switched off.
Charging
-
The USB charger offers two different charging modes.
Permanently on: charger does not switch off automatically
Countdown: switch-off after a preset time (6h–4h–2h–1h)
Only one charging mode can be set for both USB sockets.
Plug the USB charger into a power socket. When you have plugged it in, the USB charger is in ‘Permanently on’ mode. The ‘ON’ LED indicator is lit. -
Press the setting knob (1) to select one of the following settings in the given order:
ON–6H–4H–2H–1H–ON
ON = Charger never switches off
6H = Charger switches off after 6 h
4H = Charger switches off after 4 h
2H = Charger switches off after 2 h
1H = Charger switches off after 1 h -
The illuminated LED indicator displays the set mode.
At the selected switch-off time (6h–4h–2h–1h), the USB sockets automatically switch off.
The LED indicator goes out completely.
