Weather forecast

  • Using changes in atmospheric air pressure and the stored data, the base station can make predictions regarding the weather forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours.

Note:  weather forecast

During the first few hours of operation, the weather forecast is not possible due to missing data that is only stored during operation.

  • The weather station indicates the development of the weather over the next 12 to 24 hours using the following weather symbols.

hama-00186421-Full-Touch-Weather-Station-FIG-17

Temperature and ambient humidity trend

Note

  • In the first hours of operation, the trend display is not possible due to missing data that is only stored during operation.
  • All measured values are subject to a certain measurement tolerance.

The weather station gives a trend for the outdoor temperature/ humidity and indoor temperature/humidity of how the values will probably develop over the next few hours.

Heat index (perceived temperature)

  • The heat index is a value that is given in the unit of temperature.
  • This value describes the perceived temperature based on the measured outdoor temperature and, most importantly, the relative outdoor humidity.
  • If the temperature is below 26.7 °C, the heat index displays the current measured values.
  • If the temperature is above 26.7° C, the weather station displays the perceived temperature in “HEAT” mode, which is measured using the outdoor humidity and outdoor temperature.
  • To do this, press the button (E) once, the display shows “HEAT” (5) and below it the perceived temperature.
  • The display changes back to the current display of temperature and humidity after 10 seconds.

Dew point

  • In addition to humidity, the dew point is another parameter for characterising the water vapour content of the air. It indicates at what temperature the water vapour in the air would condense. If air is allowed to cool slowly, condensation will eventually occur. So water droplets form – grass and other surfaces are wetted with dew drops, mist is formed. The temperature that prevails at the time of the onset of condensation is the dew point.
  • If the dew point temperature exceeds about 16 °C, the weather is considered humid. If the temperatures are below the dew point, some of the water vapour in the air condenses into water and precipitates, for example, in the form of dew or mist. At very cold temperatures, the liquefied water vapour solidifies directly into frost or ice flowers.
  • Press the button (E) twice, the display shows “DEW” (5) and below it the dew point temperature.
  • The display changes back to the current display of temperature and humidity after 10 seconds.

Phases of the moon

The base station shows you the current phase of the moon (19) by means of the following symbols:
