KEMOT URZ3421 Voltage Converter

Read the entire instruction manual before you start installation and assembly and keep it for future reference. Producer does not take responsibility for damages caused by inappropriate handling and use of the product.

Safety instructions

• Do not overload device. Operating this device with load higher than nominal may lead to damaging this device.

• Product for indoor use only. This device is designed for household and office use. Do not use this device with specialized equipment or apparatuses (e.g. industrial, medical equipment).

• When the device is connected to any appliance with high momentary starting current, the starting power is generally several times of the appliance’s listed power rating.
  Make sure that the total starting power capacity of all connected appliance does not exceed the listed maximum output power capacity of the converter. For TV set, calculate it twice as its listed capacity.

• DO NOT modify converter’s output sockets to connect them to existing electrical installation.

• Make sure that the output voltage and frequency of the connected appliances is corresponding.

• Position the device in a properly ventilated place with suitable temperature.

• Note: do not cover ventilation openings of the converter; it can lead to overheat!
  ALWAYS use this device in a place with proper air-circulation.

• Protect this device from water, humidity as well as sources of heat and direct sunlight.

• Before use, make sure the device is properly grounded.

• Do not use this device if it is not working properly. In such case, switch off the converter and disconnect from power supply.

• Do not disassemble nor repair this device yourself. In case of damage, contact authorized service point for check-up or repair.

• In case of fire, use only dry powder extinguisher. Using water or other types of fire extinguishers can lead to electrocution.

• Position the device in a properly ventilated place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight and flammable materials. This product is not a toy; keep it beyond children’s reach.

OPERATION

1. Set the operation mode switch to position corresponding with voltage in power mains socket. IMPORTANT: the value on the switch indicates the input voltage!

2. Connect the external device to the converter.
   NOTE: make sure the external device is switched off!

3. Then connect the converter to power supply mains socket.

4. Switch on the converter.

5. Switch on the external device.

Before plugging this device to power supply mains, make sure that:

• This device is placed in a well-ventilated location.
• Is properly grounded.
• Voltage on the operation mode switch corresponds with voltage in the power mains socket.

IMPORTANT : if the operation mode switch is set to the wrong mode, the converter may get damaged and user may risk injured! Damage due to inappropriate handling and use is not subject to the terms of the warranty!

Note:

• after plugging the device to power supply, output sockets will be under electricity immediately, even when the equipment is powered off.
• Do not connect this device to overloading equipment (e.g. hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, etc).

Important!

In case of overload, circuit breaker protection will operate. In such case, switch off the converter, disconnect it from power supply and external devices. Wait at least 30 minutes
before operating the converter again! Then press in the circuit breaker, reduce the load and switch the converter back on and then switch the external devices.

Soft start function (URZ3423)

The converter has been equipped in soft start function, which protects installation from overload in the moment of switching it on.

Switching off

• Switch off external devices;
• Set the converter power switch to “O” to turn it off.
• Disconnect the converter from power mains socket.
• Disconnect the external devices from converter.

CLEANING

Clean this device with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use any chemical agents to clean this device. Always disconnect the device from the power mains and external devices before cleaning!
