Safety

This Quick Start Guide will help you to handle the LPS II connection kit safely. Use the connection kit solely in accordance with its intended use:
Use the connection kit exclusively for connecting (DC charging) an LPS II in the vehicle.
Observe the safety instructions:
WARNING! Risk of injury from electric shock due to short-circuit currents. Disconnect the negative cable of the vehicle battery before installation.

Installation

WARNING! Risk of injury from electric shock due to short-circuit currents. Disconnect the negative cable of the vehicle battery before installation.
NOTE!  Ensure that the LPS II is switched off during installation.

To connect the LPS II to the vehicle battery, perform as follows:

  1. Disconnect the vehicle battery from the onboard power supply.

  2.  Protect the positive cable for the DC input as close as possible to the vehicle battery with a suitable fuse (80 A).

  3. Connect the positive cable for the DC input to the positive terminal of the vehicle battery.

  4. Connect the negative cable for the DC input to the negative terminal of the vehicle battery.

  5. Connect the cable ends with the tubular cable lugs of the positive and the negative cable to the respective screw terminals for the DC input (12 V) on the unit and screw them tight.

  6. Connect a signal cable (1 mm²) to the vehicle’s D+ signal (terminal 61), alternatively to terminal15.
    NOTE! When connected to terminal 15, the charge booster is permanently active when the ignition is switched on. This can lead to a discharge of the vehicle battery.

  7. Protect the signal cable near the connection on the vehicle with a suitable fuse (1 A … 3 A).

  8. Connect the tubular cable lug of the signal cable to the C1 terminal on the rear of the unit.

  9. Connect the vehicle battery to the onboard power supply.
    The LPS II is connected.

Disposal
Dispose of the device in accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations (WEEE).
The system must not be disposed of with household waste. Take it to a recycling point or return it to your point of sale.
