Connection cable installation
To connect 2 separate cables for the ejector [A] and the supply voltage [B], follow the steps below:
CAUTION! Reversing the connections [A] and [B] will cause the unit to
malfunction.
If you already have separately installed cables (e.g. when replacing a
PowAirBox I with a PowAirBox II), continue with the section “YAdapter
Installation”.
Ejector [A]
- Lay the 2-pin connection cable for the ejector between the installation opening and the connection point in the vehicle.
- Connect the red positive cable of this 2-pin connection cable to terminal 50 (starter control) or terminal 15 (ignition starter switch) for the transmission of the ejection signal. Protect this cable as close as possible to the connection point with a fuse (according to ISO 8820-3) (12 V: 3 A/24 V: 6 A).
- Connect the black earth wire to the negative terminal of the starter battery.
Supply voltage [B]
- Lay the 2-pin connection cable for the supply voltage between the installation opening and the connection point in the vehicle.
- Connect the red positive conductor of this 2-pin connection cable for the permanent supply voltage of the unit to the positive terminal of the starter battery. Protect this cable as close as possible to the starter battery with a fuse (according to ISO 8820-3) (12/24 V: 1 A).
- Connect the black earth wire to the negative terminal of the starter battery.
- The connection cables for the socket [A/B] are installed.
Y-adapter installation
WARNING
Reverse polarity can damage the equipment
Incorrect polarity of the connection cables will lead to a short circuit.
- Before plugging the connection cables into the adapter, make sure that they are correctly polarised according to the specified pin assignment.
