Introduction
Every time the ignition is turned on and off, the MT-OBD automatically records it. A limitless number of email and SMS message alerts can also be set up. You can choose any place on the tracking interface to cause an alert. An email or SMS alert is sent out when the MT-OBD reports entering or leaving that area. There is no restriction on the number of places you may set up or notifications you can receive. Just as crucial as where is understanding how your car is being driven. Aggressive actions like hard braking or sudden acceleration are detectable by the MT-OBD. It can keep track of how long your car is idling and wasting gasoline, or it can even tell you if the car is being towed.
The MT-OBD makes maintenance easier. You can receive notifications when the check engine light comes on using engine code monitoring. Even the same information that your mechanic can see will be made available to you. Additionally, you may set up reminders for routine tasks like inspections and oil changes. Even keep track of the distance you’ve travelled on each journey, day, week, etc.
HOW TO USE
- Your installation is finished once you plug in your MT-OBD device. Every time the car is turned on, your gadget will automatically begin reporting. It will then keep reporting as long as your service plan permits.
- You can view live or historical tracking at any moment by logging into the web interface. Use a computer, a smartphone, a tablet, or another web-enabled device to access tracking. You are free to view your journeys as frequently as you like.

What if you need to use it in a spouse’s car, will he be able to tell it is there…..and does it drain the battery at all?
Won’t drain the battery as it’s off when the car is. It makes no sounds or flashing lights that are visible, so it’s hard to know it’s there. I agree about the visible logo in the other answer. While the item itself is smaller than a pack of cigarettes, depending on where the OBDII connector is located, it might be visible. I used an extension cable, and was able to hide it up inside the dash on my daughter’s car.
how many miles away will it track. does it matter how far the car is away from where you are?
Device uses GPS will track car anywhere within the US. I have mine set to update every 15 mins. It also shows the route that was taken to get to where car current is located.
If tracking with an Android phone what do you see? Map with pinpoint or address or polar coordinates and timestamp? Is it an app?
No installation. Simply plugs into OBD-II port on every vehicle manufactured since 1996. However, I’d check with Chevrolet as the Volt may indeed be different, and I’d also check with Mobile Asset Solutions, www.mastrack.com or 1-800-559-8991.
will it work with any call phone carrier
Yes.
will this work on a BMW M3?
The MT-OBD device will work in any vehicle that is equipped with an OBD-II port. Every passenger vehicle manufactured after 1996 should have an OBD-II diagnostic port.
will this device work on 26 footer International straight truck?
Since 1996 all vehicle manufacturers have had an OBD port. Whether your vehicle has one or not I have no idea; if it has a standard OBD port it will work. I suggest you contact the manufacturer of your truck and determine if it has an OBD port identical to cars? With regards to the product, it’s superb!
How much is the average cost installation
The MT-OBD does not require professional installation. Once you locate the OBD-II port in your vehicle, you may simply plug in the device and wait for the lights to illuminate.
Where is the obd port located on a 06 hyandia sonata located and will it be detected??
I have used this device on many types of vehicles and have only had one throw

Do you need a SIM from your cell phone provider or any other extras to use this tracker on your car? I noticed the $15/month charge.
You see the status via internet, either via computer or smart phone. The $15 charge is for the MASTrack service that you can access online. The service works pretty well for location – but my son figured out how to unplug it so I don’t actually get good use of it. I never got any email notification that he exceeded speed, etc. even though I know he did. I will not renew – not because of the service, but I don’t really use it as much as I thought.
will it run reports
Yes, you can use your account to run reports for travel and alerts that the device reports. The dates you choose will also allow you to see mileage traveled by the vehicle for the duration of the report.
does it work in Saudi Arabia ?

is this a permanent tracker- installed permanently on car?
No. It is plugged into a port inside the car and is removable.

Will it clear codes?
As far as I know it will not clear codes but I do know that Amazon sells a relatively inexpensive diagnostic tester that works quite well because I bought one. It will diagnose a problem and clear your engine check light but unless you correct the problem the light will come back on after a short period of time.
