This device has a rechargeable battery. It must be fully charged before first use.
NOTE: Charge the battery of the device every 2–3 months if it is not used! Keep this user manual for future reference or product sharing carefully. The glasses are rated IPX4 water-resistant. They are designed to be sweat and weather resistant against drops of water but aren’t meant to be submerged underwater.
CAUTIONS:

  • Do NOT swim or shower with the glasses.
  • Do NOT submerge the glasses.

NOTE: IPX4 is not a permanent condition, and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear.
Warnings

  • Not for looking directly into the sun
  • Not for protection against artificial light sources, for example in solariums
  • Not for use as eye protection against mechanically influenced hazards.

First use
Open the Micro USB port (4) cover located on the bottom of the right frame arm.
Connect the sound glasses to a computer or any compatible USB charging adaptor (not included in the delivery) using the included Micro USB cable.
The battery indicator (5) will be solid red during charging and turn off when charging is complete.
Note: When charging with a computer, be sure that the computer is connected to a power source. If the device’s charging indicator light does not turn on, the product is not charging.

Bluetooth connection

Pairing
Before pairing, make sure your smart device Bluetooth setting has been turned on.

  • Press Power On / Off Button (1) 2 seconds to turn the device on and enable Bluetooth pairing.
  • The blue and red LED (4) will flash alternately until the glasses and your smart device has connected.
  •  “MusicMan BT-X59” will appear in your Bluetooth network device options, once it appears, click on the “MusicMan BT-X59” network to pair the sound glasses with your smart device.
  • Once the glasses and your smart device have paired properly, you will hear “Connected”.
  • The maximum effective Bluetooth range is 8m.

Auto reconnection
You will only need to pair the sound glasses with your smart device during the initial setup process.
Your sound glasses and the smart device will automatically connect every time you activate the Bluetooth.

Functions

Power On
Press and hold the Power On/Off Button (1) for 2 seconds to establish a Bluetooth connection. The blue LED will flash and you will hear the command “Power On”. This command let you know that both the sound glasses and your smart device has an established a Bluetooth connection.
Now the sound glasses is ready for music listening, making, and receiving phone calls.
Power Off
Press and hold the Power On/Off Button (1) for 5 seconds to power off and disconnect the Bluetooth connection. You will hear the command “Power off” letting you know that your Bluetooth connection has been powered off.
Play/Pause music
Press the Power On/Off Button (1) once to pause or play your music.
Answer phone calls
Press the Power On/Off button (1) once to answer incoming phone calls.
Hang up calls
Press the Power On/off button (1) once to hang up the call. You will hear the command “Incoming Call Ended”.
Reject calls
Press the Power On/off button (1) twice to decline incoming phone calls, you will hear ”Call Rejected’.
Voice assistant
Double click the Power On/Off button (1). You will be able to access your voice command feature on your smart device prompting siri or google to answer real-time prompts:

  1. Voice dialing from your phone list
  2. Speak for Directions, Weather/Traffic Updates
  3. Speak to play Music from your favorite App: e.g.Spotify.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot connect the BT-X59 to your phone, do as follows:
Ensure that the BT-X59 is charged and in on state. Ensure that the Bluetooth feature is activated on your phone. Check that the BT-X59 is within 8m of your phone and that there are no obstructions between the BT-X59 and the phone, such as walls or other electronic devices. The BT-X59 powers off or does not turn on again could be either a low battery or a problem with the power supply. Charge the BT-X59. (We suggest charging the BT-X59 all 2–3 months if it is not used for a long time.)

Notes

  • Only charge the BT-X59 through the DC 5V charging port by using the provided charging cable. You also can use an USB charging adapter but ONLY (!) up to DC 5V/1A. Do not (!) charge the BT-X59 with more power!
  • If the BT-X59 fails to link to your mobile device or if it fails to play music after being connected, the user shall check if your mobile device supports SBC / ACC.
  • Noises are heard from the BT-X59 could be a poor Bluetooth signal. To avoid noise, stay within the Bluetooth range of 8m.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to the excessive volume that may cause noise-induced hearing impairment.
  • Turn the volume down before putting on your BT-X59, then adjust it to the right volume.

Warnings

  • Do not use the supplied charging cable to charge any other devices. This may cause damage
  • Do not disassemble the BT-X59, it may result in short-circuit or damage.
  • Do not use BT-X59 while driving or riding your bike.
  • Stay away from sharp edges, uneven surfaces, metal parts, and anything that could damage the BT-X59.
  • Do not modify, repair or remove BT-X59 without professional guidance. Do not use corrosive or volatile liquid to clean the BT-X59.
  • Do not use BT-X59 in dangerous environments.
  • Battery warning: Improper use of the battery may cause fire or chemical burns. The battery may explode in case of damage.
  • Do not drop or shake the BT-X59, it may break internal circuit boards or mechanics.
  • Keep the BT-X59 in dry and ventilated environment. Avoid high humidity and high temperature. Also, batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat or direct sunlight.
  • This BT-X59 is not water-resistant; keep it away from moisture.
  • Keep the BT-X59 away from little children and pets to prevent accidents.
