Keep this manual for the safety warnings and precautions, assembly, operating,
inspection, maintenance and cleaning procedures. Write the product’s serial
number in the back of the manual near the assembly diagram (or month and year
of purchase if product has no number). Keep this manual and the receipt in a
safe and dry place for future reference.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: When using outdoor use portable luminaires, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury, including the following!

Use only three-wire outdoor extension cords that have three-prong grounding plugs and grounding receptacles that accept the String Light’s plug.

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection is to be provided on the circuit or outlet to be used for the wet location portable luminaire. Receptacles are available having built-in GFCI protection and are able to be used for this measure of safety.

Use only with an extension cord for outdoor use, such as an extension cord of cord type SEW, SEOW, SEOOW, SOW, SOOW, STW, STOW, STOOW, SJEW, SJEOW, SJEOOW, SJW, SJOW, SJOOW, SJTW, SJTOW, or SJTOOW.

Install in accordance with these instructions and current electrical codes such as the National Electric Code (NEC).
Note: This product has not been evaluated under section 590 of the NEC. -
The receptacle cover should always be in place to prevent the entry of water (unless a plug is inserted).

CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, Do not use with extension cord near water or where water may accumulate. Keep lamp at least 16 feet from pools and spas. Keep plugs and receptacles dry.

For use only on GFCI protected circuits.

Unplug all String Lights, and allow bulbs to cool completely before mounting, taking down, changing light bulbs, or otherwise servicing lamps or bulbs.

Install only according to instructions. Incorrect or inadequate installation can cause serious injury from electric shock, fire, or other hazards.

Install only with bulbs facing downward.
-
Install with the String Light stretched out, do not group the bulbs.
-
Do not install within an enclosed space or overhang, such as a soffit, ceiling, or cabinet. Do not allow bulbs to contact or rest on anything. Keep bulbs at least 3 inches from other objects.

Do not modify or cut any part of this light. Do not use if any part of this light has been cut or modified.
-
Do not hang using screws, nails, staples, or any other sharp fastener that may pierce, abrade, or otherwise damage the insulation.

Inspect all parts and mounting points of the light periodically. Do not use if parts are weakened, discolored, brittle, or otherwise degraded, damaged, or worn. Immediately unplug the String Light, take it down after the bulbs have cooled, and dispose of it.

Do not exceed 1200 maximum wattage for all String Lights combined.

Keep proper footing and balance at all times during installation.

People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use. Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure.

Use as intended only.

Maintain labels and nameplates on the String Light. These carry important safety information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.

Connecting Cords
To reduce the risk of the cord plugs pulling apart, do one of the following:-

Or, use a plug-receptacle retaining strap or connector designed to hold extension cords ends together.

The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
INSTALLING/REPLACING LIGHT BULBS
Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS section at the beginning of this
manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of
this product.
Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by
a qualified technician.
Warning
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY: Unplug the String Light from its electrical
outlet and allow it to cool before performing any procedure in this section.
Do not replace light bulbs during rain or when wet.

Unscrew existing bulbs carefully, they should be tight to keep moisture out.
Note: Suitable for Wet Location Use. -
Carefully consider the number of strings and the total wattage when selecting bulb wattage, refer to following chart. Do not exceed 1200 watts, all Strings combined

Replace with medium base light bulbs. Screw each bulb into socket clockwise until top of socket forms a tight seal around the light bulb and bulb makes solid contact with socket. Suitable for Incandescent, CFL, LED or CCL light bulbs. Incorrectly installed bulbs will not seal correctly and can cause injury or death from electric shock.
Installation
Note: Attachment hardware, such as hooks or nylon cable ties, is sold separately.

If a guide wire is not used, connect securely to structure at the beginning, the middle (the 6th or 7th bulb holder), and the end of EACH String Light.

If attaching to guidewire, attach the ring at the back of every bulb holder to the guide wire using a S-hook or cable tie (sold separately).

BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the tool. Check for:
- loose hardware,
- damaged cord/electrical wiring,
- cracked or broken parts, and
- any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
Limited 90 Day Warranty
Harbor Freight Tools Co. makes every effort to assure that its products meet
high quality and durability standards, and warrants to the original purchaser
that this product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for the
period of 90 days from the date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to
damage due directly or indirectly, to misuse, abuse, negligence or accidents,
repairs or alterations outside our facilities, criminal activity, improper
installation, normal wear and tear, or to lack of maintenance.
We shall in no event be liable for death, injuries to persons or property, or
for incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages arising from the
use of our product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation of exclusion may
not apply to you. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS.
To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to us
with transportation charges prepaid. Proof of purchase date and an explanation
of the complaint must accompany the merchandise. If our inspection verifies
the defect, we will either repair or replace the product at our election or we
may elect to refund the purchase price if we cannot readily and quickly
provide you with a replacement. We will return repaired products at our
expense, but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted
from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost
of returning the product.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other
rights which vary from state to state.
