IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be followed including the following:

  1. READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
  2. Do not use seasonal products outdoors unless marked suitable for indoor and outdoor use. When products are used in outdoor applications, connect the product to a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupting (GFCI) outlet. If one is not provided, contact a qualified electrician for proper installation.
  3. This seasonal use product is not intended for permanent installation or use.
  4. Do not mount or place near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles or other similar sources of heat.
  5. Do not secure the wiring of the product with staples or nails, or place on sharp hooks or nails.
  6. Do not let lamps rest on the supply cord or on any wire.
  7. Unplug the product when leaving the house, or when retiring for the night, or if left unattended.
  8. This is an electric product – not a toy! To avoid risk of fire, burns, personal injury and electric shock it should not be played with or placed where small children can reach it.
  9. Do not use this product for other than its intended use.
  10. Do not hang ornaments or other objects from cord, wire, or light string.
  11. Do not cover the product with cloth, paper or any material not part of the product when in use.
  12. Do not close doors or windows on the product or extension cords as this may damage the wire insulation.
  13. Read and follow all instructions that are on the product or provided with the product.
  14. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

Use and Care Instructions
a. When the product is placed on a live tree, the tree should be well maintained and fresh. Do not place on live trees in which the needles are brown or break off easily Keep the live tree holder filled with water.
b. If the product is placed on a tree, the tree should be well secured and stable.
c. Before using or reusing, inspect product carefully. Discard any products that have cut, damaged, or frayed wire insulation or cords, cracks in the lamp holders or enclosures, loose connections, or exposed copper wire.
d. When storing the product, carefully remove the product from wherever it is placed, including trees, branches, or bushes, to avoid any undue strain or stress on the product conductors, connections, and wires.
e. When not in use, store neatly in a cool, dry location protected from sunlight.
To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock:
a. Do not install on trees having needles, leaves or branch coverings of metal or materials which look like metal, and
b. Do not mount or support strings in a manner that can cut or damage wire insulation.

Installation and Operation Instructions
** Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this document including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
WARNING**
To prevent serious injury: Disconnect power before adding segments. Only use 59575 segments. Make sure that all connections and the end cap on the last segment are tightly secured to preclude the entry of water.

Mounting

  1. WARNING! TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY: Select a location without hidden cables or utility lines. Turn off all power in the wall for added safety.

  2. Measure the mounting path and ensure the Power Supply’s plug or extension cord reaches the outlet without straining the cord or lights.

  3. Install insulated Hooks or Nails (sold separately) in a straight line on the mounting surface.

  4. Lay out the main string, then separate individual bundles of hanging strings.
    Note: Do not untie bundles until main string is mounted.
    NOTICE: To prevent damage to lights, do not cut the cable ties that hold the hanging strings to the main string.

  5. Hang the main string on the Hooks or Nails.

  6. Untie each bundle and allow them to hang down.

Linking Light Strings

Note: Link up to 5 strings maximum.

  1. Remove the Cap from the Female Plug at the end of light string.
  2. Remove Power Supply from second light string.
  3. Insert Male Plug into Female Plug to connect the two sets and tighten Connector.

Operation

  1. To turn the Lights on, plug Power Supply or extension cord into a 120VAC, GFCI protected outlet.
  2. Press the Mode Button on Power Supply to cycle between the 8 light modes.
